no. he is very sick and he may die cause they just dont know. but you cant halt nicotine in a person thats addicted to it, that age even ... possible putting a patch on him will stabilize him. body is naturally depressed missing its favorite drug.. 74-104 dont matter the age cant halt tobacco like that,. im young knowing the effecting it had on me withdrawing. just makes a person sick. Just my opinion ..

 

that's possibly true.. there's this fairly old lady i know who has smoked all her life... her doc told her that to give up completely would be bad for her health... he recommended she cut down but not to stop altogether... she's nearly in her 80's...

 

this is true.. we cant all live forever though. i was gonna save this for later. But it makes me smile and feel warm inside..

Maybe people in Britain drink because they're unhappy with things but, as you said, they just go with it instead of try to change things. Just speculation of course.

 

it's just our culture. we drink because we liked getting messed up, or at least i know of no one who drinks out of repression.

i mean, people drink out of work grievance. you could argue that's 'repression', though i see it as self inflicted - you can choose where you work.

many people here are very vocal about work, and ultimately this tends to lead to a 'stiff piss up' every weekend come.

RF I have a man that is in our peer group and every Thursday I stop in to see him in the hospital with a bottle of Scotch for the week. No one says anything and it helps him to sleep. Being terminal has it's advantages.
