My favorite birthday was in 2008 - my 48th. My boyfriend at the time (I'm in an open marriage), another friend, and myself went out to a place that does karaoke with a live band. My boyfriend sang a song and dedicated it to me. The whole night was a blast.


My favorite cake came with another favorite birthday - my 30th. A had a big group of friends over to play Bunko. One of them baked a gorgeous cake for me that had 3-D butterflies on the top, made out of chocolate.






Hubby must be out of it. He came out of his room at 7:30 and asked if everyone else was off doing there thing. I told him they were, and he went back to his room.

RF... At the moment I have no house. Does that make me houseless? Just wondering.

They ripped down the old house this past week, dug it out of the ground, took that to the dump and filled the hole with clay. Why can't we reuse that lumber? There were some heavy duty 100+ year old wood in that place.

Don't know when the closing will be for the "new to me" house... but it's all done short of signing a bunch of papers and doing a bank transfer. Man! This new house is unbelievable. It's like the architect read my mind and built the perfect home... all this before I was born. The Fates really sent me off in a totally different direction this time around.

Its getting cold out

 

It's been nasty today. Last Sunday when it rained here we (my daughter's girlfriend and my daughter's sone) played out in the rain cooking out and doing some shoveling of dirt we needed to move, etc.

Today, the dog has refused to go out and do her business. I've been soaked through from taking that dog out, lol. She finally gave in and went out in the yard when the rain lightened for a few minutes.

It's yucky weather but not unusual for here. It does it most years during this time.

My mom used to tell a story about having received gifts of, and bought, pretty little spring and summer clothes when she was expecting me. It was cold and nasty when I was born. My mom had to send my dad out to buy up whatever little bitty warm clothes he could find for me. :love:

I don't have anything special - just some that I like. I bought a couple as a young teenager when I visited the monastery and some I recently bought off ebay for practically nothing. I'm attracted to them for some strange reason. Maybe because I love charms that go on charm bracelets.

The question I have is about how they are used and how they are worn by Catholics.

I ask because I've seen them used in some awesome assemblage jewelry pieces that I'd like to make some similar to.

I just want to know how blasphemes that would be and how badly I would piss off Catholics, or if it really doesn't matter how you wear them.
