I wasn't aware you had responded. I noticed it was supposed to be me, and I mentioned it a bit otherwise. Didn't mean to confuse anyone...

 

As for how I know, I had opened the door at night to let my Cocker Spaniel back inside. I saw he had his face right up to this little black animal's butt. I thought, WTF? It was a scroungy looking thing. I wasn't sure what it was.

Then I realized what was happening, and slammed the door shut, but not quite in time. Whole damn house reeked!

That place has lots of wildlife. Coyotes howling in the yard before dark. Raccoons came in after my chickens. They have hard heads, I hit one with a 2 by 6, prob. 18" long. Head hits, took 14 to kill it.
