chickens are stupid...you can throw an entire bucket of food down and they all come running...then throw a single grain of food the opposite direction and they all chase the single grain....

 

If there's a turkey in the flock with any kind of flaw, the other turkeys will peck it to death.

Actually I go by "rick" nowadays.

 

I found sage growing wild just a few blocks from my place on Halloween! Now it's drying on my countertop, slowly but surely. In the meantime it makes the kitchen smell good, I just love it (not that it wasn't smelling good, especially those days where I spend my time canning and preserving the produce of our bountiful garden for the winter to come).
