I agree. Online shopping is the way to go. Crowd avoidance and I just like getting packages in the mail rather than the usual bills.

Sounds like you definitely need that wine!

I predict that shopping online will become the norm for me. I hate shopping. I hate seeing something in one store and wondering if it would be cheaper across town. I hate all the stupid ads all over the place trying to convince me to buy crap that I don't need. This was a piece of cake!

Brought in two more wagon loads today, cut that up and split/stack... good enough for the next few days. Yesterday's haul is still under the tarp.

It rained overnight and most of the day... Little tractor hauled wood out of there like it was nuthin'

my filthy poor friend who lets me park all my trailers and wreck cars on his property recently lost his filthy rich mom

i wonder how this is going to work out...

knowing him im going to bet he finds a way to still collect his welfare ...his moms house alone has to be worth close to a million

Speaking of wood....did I ask you guys last night if anyone knows anything about "reclaimed" lumber? I spent a little while yesterday trying to figure out what it might be worth?

He might be able to pull it off with the right attorney but if he can afford that kind of representation why would he bother trying to keep his welfare?

I suppose...but it's not wise business. That's letting greed or emotion trump sound decision making. Or...maybe he doesn't feel comfortable in his ability to keep and/or grow what he's going to get so he feels obligated to save his safety net in case he pisses it all away on bad decisions. Sounds like he might be that guy.

It is a lot of work, but I couldn't afford to heat this place with Propane or Fuel Oil... If I hadn't had to spend all summer installing windows and doors, then have the water heater go out and spend a month dealing with all that plumbing, the firewood would be sitting out there ready to grab. Maybe next year...

Depends on what kind of lumber we are reclaiming.... Some vintage lumber can go for a hell of a lot of money.

I'm guessing there are many variables when selling reclaimed lumber… Is it exterior reclaim door interior reclaimed… Is it industry standard length or custom cut links… How old is it… Can you say that it's antique that should bump it up a bit

I reclaimed some Redwood for the back sliding door project this summer... You just can't go out and buy that stuff anymore.
