Went to my cousin's wedding in Toronto this weekend. Had 2.5 hours of sleep the first night and 30 minutes the second. TOOOOOOTALLY worth it. It seems that as we get older it's only at weddings and funerals that the whole family gets together. The last time was a funeral, so let's say this time the mood was different and everyone had a fantastic time.
I went by myself and it turns out it was the best decision I could have made.

Over the years, you have repeated this to me and others on this site, worded one way or another, and I think everyone can benefit from this advice. Truly words to live by.

The thing that surprises me in the fact that a MIDI guitar pickup exists, is that the guitar is a very dynamic instrument. A pickup is basically a small microphone, and a guitar isn't exactly as "precise" as a keyboard, for instance. Then again, I'm not so much into all that MIDI stuff... The less things there are between my guitar and my amp, the happier I am.

But ESP's are pretty much the exact opposite of beat up and challenging. They have battery operated pickups and are made to sound super precise and compressed.

Cut down a bunch of deadfall, then one smallish tree and...........

then two trees at once. (Yeah, I know... Completely against all the frickin rules. But,Hey....) The bigger of the two was not going to let go of the second tree up top so I had to take it too, at the same time. Thing is, I was wondering how I was going to get that second tree to fall where I wanted it because it was completely backasswards. I ended up letting the first tree drag it the way I needed it to fall. Worked perfect, I just wouldn't recommend it to a friend...

Anyways, In a manner of speaking they all fell where they needed to fall... Young trees were not damaged, mostly oak and maple as far as I can see. There's still at least two wagon loads of Ash up there ready to be hauled down, but it was getting dark. I brought in 6-7 loads and had to tarp that for the night... Cold and rain are forecasted for the next few days. At least the wood is down here in the yard and covered. I got a lot of firewood ready to cut/split/stack.

Little antique Gilson/Bready is a workhorse... First pull start most times, runs like it's designed to. Steering is still sloppy and it needs front tires, no air in the current tires. They act like they don't need no stinking air, but tires would be nice. There's now a trail down through that section of the property and a lot more dead trees to haul out. Some really big ones just starting to shed bark. Those should be fun...

When I don't need the wood furnace anymore. Sometime around spring.

Seriously though. I doubt I would get that far ahead to not have to go out and get more trees during the winter months. Maybe next year.

I don't know anything about a movie. I just started calling them fisher people because there are just as many women as men, and lots of kids are out there as well.

I don't buy our local paper because it is about a dollar for maybe 4 pages. But I can always tell when they stock the lake because normally Grace and I are the only ones at the park that early in the morning, when they stock the lake it can be hard to find a parking place.

Our newspapers the same thing except that it's a dollar 50 during the week and two dollars on Saturday… I occasionally buy it because they still run across word every day and I feel like I've accomplished something because it's a crossword that I can actually finish… In other words it's not cryptic
