    How about "Medium Tip Black"?

    I have made two real life friends while on HF. Well, if telephone and texting count as "real life"...

    They do - they gradually dissolve from leaking acid fumes.

    I once bought a new starter motor for my car that turned out to have the wrong kinds of attachments on the wires. So I clipped the ones off the old motor and soldered them onto the new one.

    Whenever I need a special screw or some kind of makeshift doohicky, I can very often find something in my assortment of old parts that does the job.

    Alzheimers. :)

    So you think you can bribe your way back into our good graces with a cute animal pic, huh?


    I just did a double take when I re-read my comment above about "special screw"...

    I had a female boss years ago who remarked at lunch with our office mates one day, "What I need is a good screw."

    The next day our pal John brought in the biggest screw I have ever seen, and left it on her desk. My boss responded, "I said I needed a GOOD screw, not a BIG one!"
