Him. Boss=her (thinking: her hates pony tail but wisely keeps mum). Uberboss (him) don't say nuthin neither, but at least the hair affectation is apparently no detriment to doggie treats. :2thumbsup:

 

i got hired with ugly nasty baby dreads.. ppl dont care. and ppl who do don't matter. i think theres a dr. seuss quote that goes something like that.

 

I did get the fuel oil. It's a bit of a quandary. We've had a long relationship with this company, and they've been good with us when we've needed flexible financial arrangements...don't wanna piss em off, but likewise I need to know what the financial arrangement IS - normally they send a bill, and I pay when or as I can.

So I sent a VERY mild nastygram via email, just saying they never told me they were going to charge my credit card, and I need clear communication in the future. And the result: So far, NO REPLY!!! If they're trying to tell me they don't want me as a customer anymore perhaps I can accommodate that.

 

Companies are getting good at playing hardball these days...

 

Yeah well, I work in a conservative Boston financial institution where ALMOST everybody has neat business haircuts and half the men wear suits and ties. So I stand out, to put it mildly.

It's kind of a test, I admit, to see if I can be kinda what I want and still be accepted in this dimension of the universe. And I admit that it may actually be a bigger deal for me than what I might imagine it is for my coworkers. So it's a good psychological adjustment tool for me also.

 

If they want hardball, we could start discussing the word "fraud" for starters. So far I have refrained from treading in that territory.

that's cool. i get plenty of "comments" about my hair.. i think its funny.

 

One guy who is a friend in the group I go out dining and drinking with sometimes showed NO reaction to my hair for a long time after he first saw it. Finally one day at lunch he zinged me. "About time you said something" is what I said. He said he was just waiting for an opportunity for a good dig.
