I know one office slacker who actually COMPLAINED that his new faster computer eliminated the bootup time that he used to grab coffee and a doughnut.
His new PC is sitting there on ready every morning at his vacant cube while he is off in munchie land.

 

What, your computers don't give you coffee and donuts while they're booting? You need to hire new tech staff!

My computer takes about 15 minutes to boot up every day, cuz I have an ancient Pentium IV. Maybe if I save up my doggie treats I can trade them for a faster machine...in the meantime maybe I'll try locking it instead of logging off every night.

 

mine takes so long to start...thats its easier to just leave it on 24/7 or sleep mode

My personal laptop only takes about five minutes to boot. But I usually hibernate it when I'm not using it. I can keep hibernating it for about a month at a time before it starts getting glitchy.

Gotta get outta town and go home...

my laptop is new and ready almost as fast as i can open it.....or 30ish seconds if i gotta power up......
