On the other hand I dig the (equally typical and exagerrated) stereotypes in Workaholics or The office. Partially because they show in a hysterical and ironic way how those stereotypical people often are. So I do dig that aspect of parodying real life shit and showing how it is really are (according to the makers of the show of course). I just don't dig the way Tosh or for example a show like Married with children does that.

 

Went a couple of times to Lion Country Safari in So. Cal. That is where Frasier the lion lived.
They put him there because he was old and they figured he would die of old age and he ended up taking over the joint and had a harem of every female lion in the place and many offspring.

One time when I was 12 my aunt and uncle took me for my birthday in their brand new Nissan hatchback.
A lioness jumped up on the hood, chewed the mirror, then walked up and over the car leaving dents and scratches all over.
It was friggin' awesome from a 12 year old boys perspective, but my aunt wasn't too happy. my uncle just laughed it off.

Nope, never heard of so far.

Workaholics, Wilfred and Broad city are my kind of comedy. Wilfred is kind of disturbing in a surrealistic way (which I like ). But I admit I had to get used to the characters of Workaholics too. Didn't blew me away at first. Both Workaholics and Wilfred had to grow on me but once it did I really enjoy both.

silicon valley is good. I'm a fan of workaholics as well, although I find the last couple of seasons have not been as good. maybe I'm just getting tired of it. I'm a big fan of it's always sunny in philadelphia as well... probably my favourite comedy.

 

Haha yeah, got me awhile to get into or get used to those characters there as well. But it is funny.

What you have with Workaholics is what most of the time happens with me as well when a show runs long enough I'm the same with The office for example. I only enjoyed the last seasons because I just got into the series, character development, wanted to see where things went with people etc. But it got a bit too soapy and sometimes a bit over the top later.
I have the feeling (should rewatch to be sure) that the earlier seasons kept it just a bit more realistic, without losing the weird factor with people like Dwight Schrute or Michael Scott. Later some of those characters wallowed a bit too much in their quirkyness, which I would accept mainly because I got already into the show.

 

That happens with most shows after they run for so long. I found the same thing with 30 Rock, as well. The really 'out there' characters like Kenneth, Jenna, and Tracy just kept getting weirder and weirder until it was a bit too absurd for me.

 

Didn't really got into that one, probably because of the setting (lack of both interest and affinity). I recall Tracy played a too annoying stereotype of himself. I don't enjoy stupid characters consistently doing obnoxious things (that's why the small poser dude in workaholics can also be annoying). I have that problem with Family guy and American dad as well.
