When I lived in Chicago people were like that about parking spots. I get it but I always thought there was something presumptuous about it. It's a public street. Anyone can park there so take all your furniture back in your house where it belongs and stop leaving it on the street. I wish the city would drive by with a dump truck and haul away all the shit those people leave in the street because they think they can save a parking spot.

being anywhere, is largely a consiquence of existing. in some ways this makes one place almost as good as another.

i do have one very strong preference though: the less my surrounding interfere with what is in my head, the more i enjoy them.

this may have something to do, with why, i very much enjoy being alone, the greatest part of the time.

(has nothing to do, with disliking other people, which i don't, (unless of course, they insist on demanding my attention,
imagining themselves to be doing the world a favor by doing so))

People don't do that here. It is street parking and the first one in gets the spot. My problem was more with the poor plowing job that they did. All of the spaces in front of the apartment building are filled up with a foot or deeper snow from the plow. If you parked parallel to this you would be parked in the middle of the street. If the one car in front of the building does get out no one will be able to get back into that space until it all melts down. The only vehicles that could park there now would have to have a foot or so clearance under the vehicle.

    makes me happy.... :)
i looked up OCD...and it said aversion to certain numbers can be part of it, too....hmmmmm....I will work on it. I thought I only had it about my jogging miles......
as a small child, I had it about closet doors and making sure and checking them many times to make sure they were closed.....

It is 40 degrees here today...so things are melting here for the moment...and will be cold again tomorrow, so the puddles will become ice again.... :D

The brain is so complicated...inner space.....the connections....the wirings.....somethings can short circuit, I suppose, etc......
Since my mom, had an aversion to the number 11....well, bad things did happen to her on the 11th day one month and her grandmother always scared her about the 11 number by constantly threatening meanly and cruelly " it is the 11th hour", so maybe that was learned on her part.....
so heredity or learned?...is the question here.

    Thanks, Lynn!

Hubby thinks it also may be from a condition that his blood and stool labs diagnosed. It's a lack of Pancreatic Enzyme. We are still waiting for him to go for the Upper GI, then we will go into the gastro doc to discuss the treatment for it.

I'm not sure if the seizures and the illness from the pancreas are realted or if we're dealing with two different issues at the same time. I know the gasto symptoms have left him very weak and emaciated; he's anemic too.

Hopefully, the specialists can do things to get him feeling better.

Back to the deep freeze again overnight. We had snow so it was a little milder.

This winter has been far too bitter cold with winds. I want spring!!!!!! :)

Took my 86 yr old grandpa out for lunch today. When I helped him get up to leave he made quick line for the door and it was then that I realized he "carpet bombed" the place on the way out.

Nope. It was silent but it was him for sure. I'd like to say he may have been amused with himself but he probably didn't even think about it.
