mine is a linksys wrt54g...im surprised it even works outside in the yard...the cordless phones suck because the chicken wire in the stucco....but the router seems fine with it

 

I've been wondering if that would have an effect when we wrap the outside of strawbale huts with it. The plan was a double layer of it on the outside and another layer on the inside...

I think I'll try an experiment

 

My router is shite, still letting me sit outside and post here though so I suppose its not too bad...has a heart attack every now and then though

When I got this thing I made jokes about being able to climb a tree and surf at the same time... hell I can't even climb the stairs and surf... lol

Mine has a pretty good signal actually, Im about 30 metres away from it now...signal strength says "very low" but it hasnt cut out yet.

do you have a wireless card or a dongle on your computer? We have dongles, I don't know if that matters or not...

 

Wireless card, my old laptop I had to have a usb wireless adapter but the thing never worked so I just stuck to wired.

Never had problems with this laptop...well not internet problems anyway whole thing is fucked really

 

my wireless is built in I think..I dont see any removable card

when we plug in a laptop with a card it shows 6 neighbors with wireless...all protected but downtown you can surf off the businesses that have it,,,bars etc
