I only ever Had one persons name on My Ignore list ! I never thought of it so much as an "ignore " more of I couldn't Be arsed With " nor did I consider it a List ( one Person )
I have Taken Him Off now Because it Makes me Uncomfortable To think of Some sad person Obsessing as to whether I have or Have not got them on ignore ( enough for him To mention It anyway )

When asked Most People say I look like Father Ted ( that's one Less thing For him to worry about ) And a Little Bird Told Me ;)

The smell of a wood shop is one of my fondest memories of my childhood. :)

On to the next project. I won't be just winging this one.

You know you have arrived when you can "just wing" a complex project...

The guitars I used to build when I taught guitar building were not pre planned other than a general idea of what I wanted the final instrument to look and sound like. There were no drawings or "blueprints" and nothing was a copy of a factory guitar. One part was made to fit the last part, and things had to be fluid because of the wood availability. I usually used pieces of wood nobody else would touch because they saw "perceived flaws" that I was able to just workaround. Mostly because nothing had to fit a drawing... In many ways I'm doing the same thing with this house because I'm having to use recycled materials. It's all an "I can make that work" situation.

Just take what you learned making that first stool and try again... You can do it without any major planning and wood availability shouldn't be a problem.

I've built a lot of other things but I think that was the first stool. I actually could take it apart and change it pretty easily. I'd just have to recut the angles on the legs to make them sit wider on the floor (and attach wider to the seat), cut longer braces to go between the legs and then get rid if that shit under the seat. It would probably look a lot better. Maybe I'll do that.

Music stores around here are pretty lame. But I get their problem. They make money mostly on amateur musicians and they can only justify stocking products that they will sell and maybe a step or two above that in quality. Most of the customer base isn't ready to drop serious money into their rig and the few who are doing that will probably have different sources to spend their money at. Tough deal.

On a different subject.....had a chat with my oldest son this evening about my views on the universe. I told him "I have two points about the universe. Number one: I am not smart enough to understand exactly how every single thing works. Number two: I am not smart enough to understand exactly how every single thing works." He said "Hmm....I think I may have to think those ideas through"
