I think I have that whole wood cutting thing down.

 

I'm in the wood burning phase myself (getting it down pretty well ). But why can you never leave if you only use wood heat? Well I can see if it would be freezing all day (busted water pipes etc.) but on other days you just come home in a cold house. But when you fire up the wood stove and sit next to it, you're not cold for long.

 

I've got this one cat that tries to wash dishes. She's in the sink clanking around.

The other night, she was clanking around in the sink and she threw a spoon out into the floor.

I guess she was done washing that one.

 

I'm talking about busted pipes...

I've been snowed in here quite a few times the last two winters for a week or more. It would have been cold enough inside that it would have busted pipes if I hadn't had wood for the furnace and been here. There is no other heat source other than passive solar which only works on sunny days. That by itself would not save much of the plumbing. This place already had burst pipes when I bought it, I'd rather not replace the pipes again.

 

I was barely able to take a shower between electrical storms.

It feels good to be clean (and not electrocuted).

 

I was out today and had to drive past the hospital. Next to the road they have shrubs and in the summer flowers to the curb. I did a double take. All the pansies were in full bloom. Something wrong with this picture. They are saying by New Years we will be having winter weather. This is just too strange.

 

holy wind all night kept me up ....lots of damage ..branches shingles tarps recycling bins and stuff all over the place

i imagine the bush trails are a hell of a mess with deadwood

 

I see "more seasonable" temps for us after New Year's too.

 

you nailed it...even I could see it was mess in that wheel....new assembly and hardware....trying to get it today but it is not looking good

 

I'm thinking seriously of not wrapping presents.

Maybe I'll just walk in with a couple of Ikea bags full of unwrapped presents and start handing them out.

Eleven cats.

This won't be fun.

 

i just leave things in the shopping bags they came with and hand them out

i bet it was weak springs on the shoes that started it...or things got too loose from the parking brake not working the adjuster

 

I had to go into Walmart a little while ago.


Hubby's regular pharmacy did not have stock to refill his pain medication. Neither did Walmart, nor 2 other pharmacies.

He needs it tonight and can't get it until Tuesday.

Did I say Merry Christmas yet?

 

Four Star Wars movies watched since yesterday. One more later, one more tomorrow and then we go see the new one tomorrow afternoon. I think my daughter is slightly more amused that Darth Vader is still hanging in our living room. You should have seen the look on her face when she realized who Vader really is.

That seems like a long time,,,even with the holiday. Can you call a local hospital? Sometimes they have their own pharmacies on site. Maybe they can fill it.

 

They won't fill prescriptions.


This isn't the first time we've run into this problem. Something about this system is so broken.
