The grandson got on the school bus and hour ago. I should go back to bed but I drank coffee 2 hours ago.

I got 4 hours of painful, restless sleep on the daybed in the living room. I let the boy have my bed so he could go to sleep early and I could stay up in the living room.

I spent the weekend with family, now ive spent the day cleaning as they have all finally gone...bet i sleep tonight!

Yeah, bus picks up at 6:45 in the morning.

 

Okay, the girlfriend spoke to somebody today, I don't know if it was the attorney or the sheriff's deputy friend of hers; the attorney probably. Whoever that was told her that it didn't seem like a big deal because her car hadn't been impounded. She still didn't want to go to the car so she took the car key to the wrecker office. When the driver got to the car, there was a note on it from the county police. (We have county sheriffs and county police.)

She called in and found out there is a warrant. The deputy friend told her she'd have to go and be booked in and then she could be bonded straight out. He told her not to get too upset because the officer wouldn't be back on duty until about 7:00 this evening to even process the warrant.

Meanwhile, she's got to find someone to put up a property bond. I was so busy telling her that it would not be me, that I didn't even ask if she knows how much bond will be.

 

Well that situation has not improved very much and hopefully there is a lesson taken from the whole mess. Does the property bond have to be from your county or area? I hope she has someone who is willing to do it for her otherwise she may be in an even bigger mess.

I think you are right to not involve yourself in this bond, she is an adult, time to take the responsibility for her mess.

 

I don't know if she's figured that out yet. I think her aunt may live in this county.

It is not a minute too soon for this lesson.

 

I hope she knows how fortunate she is as she could have been nailed with more. Hopefully they do not do that still. After investigating they could possibly add further charges.

My concern is always what if it had of involved another vehicle or person. There is no coming back from that. Thankfully your grandson or daughter was not with her.

 

I hope this lesson sticks.

My daughter would never put my grandson in the car with anyone impaired, but she may have been in the car, herself.

I hope it's a very sobering lesson for both of them.

 

I just heard that my cousin took a fall on Thanksgiving and up until today she's been in ICU. I've got to find someone who has time to tell me what her injuries were. That seems alot.

 

That sounds more like a fall.... down the basement stairs, or something.

 

just called for an update on my niece....no change...I asked what kind of mood she is in and my sister sent me a video from this morning at the hospital....stella was trying to talk....the kind of baby gibberish a 2.5 mth old does.....it is pretty goddamned tear jerking to see the net on her head that holds the feeding tube onto her face.....she looks like a linebacker in a face guard lol....a sick linebacker but chirpy and happy

when my lil guy was born he spent the first 2 weeks in a tiny little clear tent with a tube as well....I had forgotton all about it until I saw stella and her tube

I'm very glad to hear that Stella is doing cute little baby stuff. I hope she regains her strength quickly.

 

My cousin had a brain bleed. They don't know if the brain bleed caused her to fall or if a fall caused the brain bleed.

She was very sick and nauseated prior to her daughter finding her incoherent and needing an ambulance.

She is 60 years old.

She's been in ICU since last Thursday and they've run all the tests and scans.

Wasn't a stroke and they aren't calling it an aneursm.

She's out of ICU and they say they are now waiting for the blood to be reabsorbed so the can get new scans.

 

60 isn't very old...

A brain bleed is a type of stroke. Wonder why they are tiptoeing around with that diagnosis.

 

I asked her sister and she said it's because she has no lingering physical symptoms of stroke such as a drooped face or limb paralysis.
