My mom loved hummingbirds and my daughter got a hummingbird tattoo in her memory.

 

Mia said that is the next tattoo she wants to get. A tiny one on her hip.

I am going to wait until tomorrow and if I still like it I am going to order it.

 

RF: Got one of those little "live christmas trees" at Walfart today, which are actually several Norfolk Island Pines stuck in a small pot. Getting the roots separated between these "several" trees is very tedious, took about an hour. Now I have 5 trees in 4 different pots. Also a 6th that probably won't make it, I had to cut it's main roots, but it's in soil... Never know. Anyways. $5 for 5 Norfolk Island Pines... Yeah.

Conversation while taking my daughter to school this morning......she's been listening to the Grateful Dead for her whole life. Everyday...same announcement from me as we leave the house "Tuesday Morning Dead!" (Wed, Thurs, etc).

Today......

Me: Tuesday morning Dead! Sounds fairly early and mid-jam. (we drove for a couple of minutes and listened)
Me again: What do you think this is?
Her: Hmm....
Me: If you guess what song this is...you can stay home from school today.
Her: (immediately cheats and pushes the button on Sirius to show the song) Alligator!
Me: That's cheating.
Her: I didn't cheat. You asked what song it was.
Me: I said you had to guess it. That isn't guessing.
Her: (the lyrics start again as we pilled in the parking lot) UGGHHH.....If I would have just waited a second, I would have known it right away!!
Me: Well, Cass.....sometimes life is all about perfect timing, isn't it?

 

Heat inspired me. I just bought 2 xmas presents on line.

 

Almost done with this loft bed for my girl. I took some time off on it for other reasons but it should be ready to go by tomorrow. I wasn't feeling great this evening so I did little in the wood shop. Got a few things done.

I don't think I'm really sick at all. It's a feeling like the first day of a cold for me (which I'll catch once every year or two)....just body aches and occasional chills. I usually shake that off after a couple of days...before it gets very bad. It feels mostly the same as after cold winter days being outside all day. We can handle 0-10 degrees F all day long with little heat and high winds. It doesn't bother you at all after a while. But when you get home and get warm.....it will hit you. Your body has worked all day to stay warm and it's worn out. So that's kind of how I've felt this evening....except it really wasn't very cold today. Maybe around 30f or so for much of the day. That's pretty easy.

And...tonight.....I did get to give a good friend of mine a very old wooden hand planer I bought last week. He has a great collection of old stuff like that but not a planer like I found. I really liked it but I didn't have a place for it. It belongs in his awesome collection. I'm glad he liked it as much as I do. It's pretty cool.

 

I see broken legs happening. But I do like the toy sitting on the thermostat.
