I spent another day at the ballpark. It's fun except for a couple of the adults.

good for you....sometimes the adults forget about the kids standing 5 feet away and need to be cautioned

we used to use the word ''cautioned'' as kind of a code back in my deling days....''he needs to be cautioned''....get punched out or strongly reprimanded usually over a debt....ok always over a debt

 

I took a long shot.

It seemed that you would have to be drinking to say what these parents said, so I called them out as drinking.

Not another word was uttered.

 

Not to worry Aeri as I will post bail if needed.

Some people should not drink as it does not bring out their best side.

You're right. When a socially challenged person tries to drink in public it often ends poorly. Those "Little League Parents", with nasty attitudes, and alcohol don't mix well.

 

tried out my best snowblower today and it ran like crap...obvious signs of water in the fuel so i pull off carb and drain tank...clean the carb (it had a bit of water and slime in it which is normal for the way i stored it) ...and putting it back on something didnt feel right and sure enough the governor linkage had moved and the thing would run way over speed...what a headache to get in there such a stupid design everything mounted under the fuel tank ffs...so much trouble just because some factory goof didnt tighten the governor pinch enough

 

they have an event here called ''tie one on''

the way i'm getting it is that anyone with a scarf to donate goes to skeleton park in downtown Kingston and you tie the scarf around the tree and then the poor people are forced to go up to the tree and remove the scarf and take it home....I think that's how it works....I tried to find a pic of the scarves all tied on the trees but couldn't find one....however I did discover this event is in many cities including erie pa

we are lucky in that we have a very small truly homeless population....we are only 2 hours either direction to much larger cities where the homeless tend to go for better availability of help


we have 1 youth shelter....1 adult shelter 24 and up...and 1 emergency shelter for anyone and a salvation army shelter..a battered women shelter....only 125 thousand people in our city....no homeless people on the island

there is a church downtown where you can see maybe a dozen people camped on the steps at night

ftr....it bothers me when people talk about their parents in an unflattering way

i could never do that....the guilt would have killed me after they left the show...

 

I had to make the coffee this morning. My coffee isn't nearly as good as roomie's.

Picked up a bug while I was in town shopping for turkey day. Feeling pookah. ... drinking my coffee instead of his. The day is bound to go uphill from here. cough.. snort.. hack.. invent new swear words.

 

So did any of you watched Last man on earth on comedy central so far? It's pretty funny!
