no sun here..just drizzly wet ...it took quite a while for me to get soaked ...wasnt raining enough to keep me in

we didnt get anywhere near the expected rain and wind....i think south got it all

 

I don't know if it's fibromylagia fog or what but my mind is slipping.

Today I couldn't work out 45 x 9 correctly. I couldn't remember when to add the 4 that got carried.

Memory is somewhat of a problem sometimes.

It's nothing big. It's like when driving I'll forget to make a turn for the ballpark because it's not the ballpark we normally use. I will have heard someone tell me it was at the ballpark closest to my house but when I start driving I just go on auto pilot and try to go to the ballpark we most regularly go to.

Hubby will yell that I am missing the turn so I usually don't fuck up too badly.

I've noticed this in the past 6 months.

 

My wife makes that sometimes. We just had it last night as a matter of fact.

 

The triplets turn 9 years old tomorrow and I just got elected to take the cupcakes to school lunch tomorrow.

They will love having Ma'am Momma and Pip Pip at lunch with them.

 

Finally got my doors hung today. This pic isn't great because my cell phone takes poor pictures. The wood is more red/brown than it looks in the pics. I took the time to evaluate each piece of wood to make sure it was where I wanted it to be. It might not show in the pic but that allows for more character.

One unexpected but very nice moment once I hung the doors.....I planned for it all to come together the way it did. I measured, remeasured, drew drafts, etc. It was no accident. But once they were up my wife said something very close to "I can't believe you just walked in made some marks to put the track up and then just hung the doors. Easiest installation ever. Every weld and board cut was just perfect."

That's pretty much what I was going for but it was nice that she noticed. It really did go just about exactly as I planned. I have a couple of very minor things I want to change but......I now have doors made from flooring from my house from 1874. That's kind of cool. And it was nice to feel like my wife was impressed.

 

Those are really pretty. I love the wood and the track system is more involved and unique than I've seen in pics of other installations.

tonight's victim was a free-to-me snowblower with tight engine

first finding was correct amount of oil which ruled out starvation
second finding was intact oil dipper which ruled out my original guess of broken dipper causing starvation even though oil level was correct
third finding was yes it was in fact a crank/connecting rod seizure and not the cam

further dismantling revealed flywheel shroud bolts in wrong places (a sure sign of attempted repairs by someone not familiar with those engines)

further examination revealed the cause of the failure...throttle was over center stuck at higher than max speed due to improper installation of shroud/recoil (which the throttle controls are attached to)

more inspection revealed a new fuel hose which was the reason shroud had been removed...and new hose was improperly routed through backing plate and rubbing on flywheel ...would have caused failure and possible fire if engine hadnt over-revved and seized first


cause of death was ruled as idiot owner trying to save a buck by doing repairs himself

I went to the elementary school today. It was "crazy hair day".

I saw a girl with one cone on her head; not three. She was a natural redhead, with no colored spray, and cute as could be.

It's a great last minute costume idea for adults with long hair.

shitty day today...didnt feel good but had to work anyway after making promises....

very sore..lots of hand cramps...plus is was a mobile job and you know youre always working stupid because you never have the exact tools for doing the job right

I had a productive day........my truck passed the etest.....so that is awesome....needed a tailpipe test because it is old like me....I could use a tailpipe test too

went and bought a new bar and chain for my saw....bit the bullet on that one........plus numerous other stops
