That's what some of us are expecting too. Either that or we should be compensated. I don't just mean for the birds either. Some people have invested a decent amount of money in their hen houses, etc. We haven't spent as much as some people have but we've got a few bucks invested in ours too.

 

I baked much today...now have apple slices and sweet potato slices drying on my wood stove,,...

I went to buy the truck today and arranged at buddies urging to get to my mechanic here on the island tomorrow so he could give it the once over

the only thing buddy said he knew was wrong...and bbad forgive the terminology.......is that downshifting inti second the actual piece that slows down the gear for the shift is slightlt worn and sometimes grinds if you are going too fast...he says he greased it every 2 months and very regular oil changes.....we'll see what the mechanic says tomorrow

And think about how silly this sounds....I live in IOWA!! So some farmer in northern Iowa can have a few millions chickens in commercial buildings with tiny cages and contaminate and have to recall millions of eggs due to willful negligence but we can't have a couple of chickens in our backyard?

Our county says we can only have 4 chickens, no roosters, unless we have more than 3 acres.

There's a rooster in our neighborhood that I hear crowing every afternoon at the school bus stop.

The thing is.....if you have one acre or more of land in this city.....you can have freaking hoofed animals.....cows, horses, goats, sheep.....but if you have chickens? Well....that's over the line now.

We think we have it narrowed down to the person who caused this.

 

i like those...mine is an early 90's 3/4 ton 4x4 with the 350 engine and 400 trans (i call that one my big truck)

mine looks better though jacked up and two tone with factory fender flares

 

I saw the flares on some photos online...nice....i'll do what I can to make it look ''cooler'' in a redneck kinda way....there is obviously a few hundred pick ups on this island being a farming community....some eally cool rare models that are rat roddish but in a cool way

the front grill is already black

it has ripped upholstery on the seat so I will drss it up somehow

Burning a stump out in the backyard... Where this stump is will be my fire pit. How convenient... My fire pit came supplied with pre-installed wood.


It's looking like it's going to take a few days to actually burn this stump out though.

 

RF: My daughter and a friend of hers made cupcakes this evening. There are 8 of them sitting 2 feet from me. They smell great. I reeaalllly wish I could eat one right now. Can't do it but I bet they are good.

But we haven't got a certified letter and they can't assume I read the local paper....so....fuck 'em. I'm going to keep the chickens. I'll just play dumb for now. But I have a plan. I don't think the local ordinance officer wants to tangle with me again.

 

one of the reasons that I'm looking at moving to guelph is because they let you have chickens.
