I could use a truck, but it would have to be 4X4... Short bed would be cool.

a sort bed would be useless to me. a long bed cargo (no windows along the back sides) type van is the only kind of 'car' i've ever really wanted. and i liked better when they had the motor stuck out in front like a pickup where you could get to everything to work on it. i really like not having the hassle of having to have one of any kind, but it is annoying to have to live in cities to avoid doing so, and not being able to lug anything heavier or more awkward then i can carry on the bus home to make things with. but that's the thing, if i had one i'd want one long enough to sleep stretched out full length in the back and long enough to carry 8 or even 12 foot lengths of lumber. anything else, just to be able to get somewhere further then i can walk in half a day where there isn't a bus, two wheels, would be good enough for that, if i could get two wheels that were quiet enough not to chase all the critters away.

i'd still want to be able to haul at least groceries on it though. and human powered isn't for the hills i'd like to live in. i think people are just messed up not wanting there to be more and better public transportation.

Took my daughter to the range again this evening. That makes 4 times in the last 10 days. I upgraded my membership this evening. If you only go twice a month, you will still be better off with the upgraded membership. Now we can go as often as we want and it won't cost anything besides ammo.

It's seeming more and more like this idea is going to be another home run idea. She loves it and it's another thing that she and I can do together for years. That's pretty important to me since she will be a teenager in no time. Gotta keep her engaged with us. It sounds like there will be adult and youth leagues pretty soon and she definitely wants to participate in that.

I thought she would like doing this but I didn't expect her to like it this much. I got a free range t-shirt with my membership upgrade and she promptly swiped it from me. It's like a night gown on her. Another unexpected benefit.....she asked me when I got home from work if we were going tonight...I said "I guess I can jump in the shower now and go to the gym before dinner and then we can go after dinner.....but if you have homework, you should probably go do it now because I don't want you to have to do it when we get home." She dropped what she was doing, went to her room and did everything she needed to get done. No complaints, dragging her feet or anything.

I think we're looking at about a 10 degree drop here starting tomorrow and continuing for at least the next week. I'm sure it still must be warmer than it is where you are. I wish I would have went kayaking last weekend but I just didn't get to fit it in. Maybe next week but it will be chillier, I have projects to finish in the garage/wood shop, projects I still haven't finished in the house..... :( I'd rather play than work most of the time.

    I never tried sushi either.

Did they put some drop in your eyes that made your pupils smaller (which makes them catch all the light)? I went for a check up once and they did this before they took a pic from my eye. I didn't brought anyone with me nor had sunglasses. But since I wanted to go home I just got in my car and drove :D I could see something of course, but it wasn't an advisable solution :p

I have been sick with a bug of some kind that developed into pneumonia. So the last week has been a sleeping week for me. Now why do I still feel so darn tired. :)

Cool and wet here but at least no frost so I will gladly take that. :)

Heather! Pneumonia will leave you weak.

Yesterday, the doc took me off Ibuprofen (said it worried her for my stomach) and put me on a prescription of Meloxicam anti-inflammatory. The brand name is Mobic. It's just once every 24 hours.

I hope it works. I'm going through a real rough patch with arthritis right now.

I am waiting for the antibiotics to fully kick in and the inhalers. It is bloody exhausting. :)

I hope the new meds bring you some relief. It might even help that is it a different drug as you will have lower tolerance than what you usually would use. Fingers crossed for you Aeri. :)

    For you as well, Heather!

The kids were out of school yesterday and I got to take them to the playground for a little while. That was fun.

Last night we watched the triplets play a double header.

Let's see, I did 3 hours of homework with the grandson today, went to watch the oldest granddaughter play ball at the middle school (they were winning 12 -1 when I left) took the grandson home, and swapped him for the granddoggie.

I'm so hungry and haven't felt like walking through the grocery store so I stopped and got a little frozen pack of honey bbq wings and I'm about to eat some fermented cauliflower.

Just found out that my city has recently banned keeping chickens in city limits. Some people are upset about it. I'm torn. My wife has a couple of chickens. I hate the mess they make at times but I like the eggs they lay. I wouldn't be heart-broken to see them gone but I think I might have to fight to keep them just on principle.

I remember my parents going through the no pet policy getting started at a condo they owned. They allowed the pets already in the building to be there as "grandfathered in".
