i just saved myself $100 by straightening a snowblower impeller instead of just buying a new one

still need to weld it a bit tomorrow ...factory welds are just lazy ass tacksand one broke when i hit it

it turns out the ministry of transportation isn't picky about me failing my e-test as long as I do 450 dollars worth of repairs towards the problem........buddy says 2 hours includes the scan is 180 dollars.......which means tey will pad up the bill with monor stuff to 450 and then I get a conditional pass

 

does it burn oil or something?...

 

not at all....scan tool shows cat converter is low efficiency and o2 scensor[or something]....check engine light is on and has been for a year

 

Damn automoblies, I am glad I don't drive.

bad sensors will throw codes for low efficiency

first thing i would do is hook up scan tool to read live data and actually see what the sensors are doing..#1 should be graphing up and down steady and fast...#2 should stay pretty steady

second thing id do is probably just go ahead and put new ones

third thing is swap in a used cat

last car i seen with low efficient code was brother in law...his sensors looked fine so i erased the code and it never came back...that was 4 months ago

exhaust leak at donut/manifold or flexpipe will mess up readings too

I have got to get my car in for computer diagnostics. Something isn't right with the automatic shifting of gears.

I did some research. Selenoids might need to be replaced. Ugh. I don't have a freaking rack!

I got the walmart hell out of the way and I'm cooking a late dinner.

In the morning, I'm hauling hubby, the grandson, and his dog out to meet his mom and her girlfriend (they got back together) in Atlanta for the Pride parade.

I won't drink 4 bottles of wine like I did last year because I have to take the granddaughter to the dentist at 7:30 Monday morning.
