Well that's a bummer.

 

I'll probably install that window in the utility/furnace room today. I got a different piece of double pane glass yesterday that's much closer to the size of the opening. (ReStore $5) This way I have to make the whole frame to surround the glass, but it's a non-opening window so it shouldn't be too bad. I just have to finish it in one day though.

 

there has been a coyote pup yelping and barking over in the field since early this morning......sounds like he is missing momma.......may head over to see....is that dangerous?.......the momma shoud be docile and let me pet her or hand feed her, right?

 

He'll likely run from you, Rolling. And.. if she was around.. the pup wouldn't be making that sort of commotion in the daytime. Wear gloves, anyway. heh

our library just bought 2 3d printers....you need your own file because the printers are cheap...it is the scanners that cost dough

 

In the 'odd news' this morning... A hunter in Idaho woke up to a black bear biting his head. I was rooting for the bear but they killed it. The hunter says he'll return to the same area to hunt a trophy in the next couple of weeks.

So.. he's an idiot AND a bastidge. Daily Double. Trophy Hunters. Human beings in search of a heart. Just not their own heart.

 

tomorrow is stevie wonder in Toronto....my brother is going to work the show....last time he was here my brother and another stagehand had to take stevie...inside a roadcase...from the stage to the bathroom and back halfway through the show

I've pretty much given up on communes. I'm a relic. I've given up on being an environmentalist, too. Organic farmer? How naieve. Change the world?? bah.. the world doesn't care.

My new plan is to sell this farm and travel with my RV and hopefully a tricked out trike. Probably put this place on the market next Spring. If I spend a good bit of the year in states that have medical weed.. I won't care what toxins are in my food and water.

Now.. all I have to do is convince the roomie that we should sell.

Amen there, Ms Lady! Sometimes I feel almost ashamed to be in the same species as asses such as that...unfortunately it seems there are more people like that than not, which is why I often find myself thinking most aren't worth a damn.

The maid is here today. She hasn't been here in three months. She's a very sweet lady and a VERY born again evangelistic sort, but she cleans like a whirlwind, so we listened and smiled during her sermons. She used to be quite disapproving of the three of us living under one roof with no marriage. We were ALL going to hell.

So.. anyway.. The first words out of her mouth when she saw the current condition of the house were: 'Oh my'. And then she REALLY looked at me and said: 'Oh my'. I explained that Corey had left me for a younger woman three months ago... and I'd been a bit under the weather ever since. I really expected her best sermon on how it was what I deserved for living like an evil hippie sinner. But she surprised me.

She patted my hand and said: "That other woman will get wrinkles one of these days, too. What's he gonna do then? He's no spring chicken either, ya know. Yeah, men who travel for a living are like that. They don't think with their big heads.. just their tiny ones." Oh my GAWD! The Baptist lady made a joke! An old tired joke.. but hey.. I laughed anyway. It renewed my faith in humanity a bit. And she went on to talk about middle-aged crazies and men. All I could do was blink in amazement and get out of her way while she beat up the dust bunnies.

That's what I get for assuming she'd be a heartless postulate. She's now busy righting all the wrongs I've done to the house the last few months. I'm going to finish my coffee and go help her.
