I agree Heat...that is a beautiful table and chair Rolling! I'm impressed. :) :daisy:

How long did it take you to do that?

Did you design it or have a design to go by?

    I've painted stuff...in the past... :)

Two thoughts for the evening...when the Chief of Operations of the whole power company calls you at 6:30 on a Thursday evening....it's probably important and there is a good chance that Friday will suck.

My other thought made me kind of laugh...again. Something reminded me of a long time ago when my youngest son was maybe 12. He said "What if there really is oxygen in outer space and they're just telling us there isn't so we don't try to escape?" Yes....I have raised kids who question everything! :)

Oh yeah....and I got to go 4x4ing in my Jeep at work again today. I love it when that happens. I asked my son "Can you believe we actually get paid to do this?!" I was going to get to do it again tomorrow but...no. Now tomorrow will probably be shitty.

Maybe I'm being pessimistic. Maybe tomorrow will be great. Without getting into the boring details....let's just say there is a problem and I have to figure out how to fix it...preferably by the end of the day tomorrow. I don't know what is causing the problem so I have to find it. It could be something easy buuuuut.....it doesn't involve houses and individual lines....it's entire substations and it's Friday (which are always really great or really shitty) so since I'm not going 4x4ing, I'm guessing it will be shitty. :(

Edit to say....if I'm being optimistic, we get it fixed tomorrow and take the Jeep out on Monday instead!

Made about a yard of bark mulch today... Figured that would be easier than cutting firewood. It wasn't.

Did bring in some random logs from the yard, cut and split some of them. Didn't get any of the logs out of the woods. My knee won't allow for that.

Damn thing is borked big time.

Ty, you can't ice it with a towel between the back of the knee and the ice?

I've never heard of an Ice sensitivity this extreme.

Dude...I know you have to get things done but seriously...you shouldn't push that kind of injury. Check into some community service things and see if there are some kids on probation who are looking for something to do for community service. Think of what a great role model you could be for them! :)

And Once They See How Remote Your Place Is, And That You Live On your Own,

Next Time They See You In Town, They Drop Out And Clean The Place Out.

Sorry Wizz, Some Very Bad Advice There.... ;)

    yep

locking shit up isnt good enough here either...you have to lock it AND give the illusion that someone is actually home by leaving tv/lights on

    its worse in winter

ive had neighbours pay me to shovel their driveway snow while theyre gone on trips and i leave a car there to move and make tracks just to help stop breakins

one guy complained once about a few oil spots in his drveway from some cars i parked there (he was gone for 4 months)...so next winter i just shovelled ...no car or tracks...everyone knew the place was empty he was lucky that winter

the only break in i experienced was one exactly like glenglen said....kids (us) were at other family places ...my parents went out to a wedding party and they remember seeing a certain person who we know did it...he knew no one was home

Yeah, Ice will lock up my joints. Hell, cold weather locks up my joints. I know you are trying to help Aeri, but ice is something I can't deal with. Been there, done that... paid for it in the end.

I'll handle this, somehow. I've had this torn meniscus for 9 years or so. It just got a lot worse all of a sudden. I'll manage.

And, yeah. I don't need kids to know I'm out here.

^ the way I am too. Really, the only place ice is appreciated by me is in a glass. :)

It has never helped me except for just a short time after a broken bone - and I mean for about week after on top of the cast(s)...after than it didn't help, ever.
