And I should say....we obviously aren't a national act but we've been about as successful as we care to be and none of us are interested in going any bigger. We can't complain but....sometimes you just want to simplify things. It doesn't need to be like this every time.

 

I get to go to a one year old birthday party tomorrow.....

 

Yesterday...the same turtle I saw the day before was at the same spot on this property at the same time...now, after reading up about this process.....a turtle lays her eggs and then leaves for good one time....so what what she doing there for a second day in a row? i wonder if she will be back today same time same place......I have to watch carefully and make sure my cats are in....as they would investigate her......and I have not gone close enough to her... I leave her alone, but I am pretty sure she is a snapping turtle.

 

Snapping turtles will remove your fingers... (Or a cats front leg) in a split second.




Had a short thunderstorm just now... What I was working on should now be mud, but it wasn't long enough to water the plants/grass seed...



I should take a break... NOT!

 

all cats are in now....snapper shows up about 6 if she is coming back for a third day...

i was thinking....shall we ALL start over......?

Sorry about my bitchy and possibly ungrateful sounding post this morning. I was in a crappy mood. Still am kind of in a crappy mood. It's been a long day but at least my dog was super excited to see me when I got home.

 

snapping turtles can be identified by the stink....they smell awful

Maybe not bitchy but still kind of crappy anyway. And I shouldn't even mention the bus because it's sitting right now with a bad transmission. There hasn't really been a lot of discussion about what we're going to do with it.

And I got out of tearing down because I guess some other guys were supposed to play after us on the same gear. Perfect. I put my guitar and pedals in my Jeep when we got done, left my amp and split.

 

I'm not sure why.... But, okay.

Second storm cut my day short. Looked like the end of the world out there but it split in two and went around my place. Winds may have caused tree damage, I'll have to look tomorrow.


Built the flagstone stairs and almost finished one side. First storm ended that project for the day.


Got one plant moved in the herb/flower garden off the back patio and then the second storm ended that.

Snapper was not out there as far as I know today, but I am still going to be wary for at least a week......They smell, eh.....? I did not get close enough to her to smell her.....but she was big....so one could see her quite a distance away.........

This last storm produced enough rain to make everything grow well... Including the grass which I won't be able to mow until Thursday. This should be interesting.
