Hubby is coming home this evening.

They say he is ready to go, yet they came in and hung another bag of antibiotics.

    Band-aids.

    That sounds about right.

Now, it's follow up with your G.I. doctor, follow up with your Urologist;not to mention his regular appointment with the Pain Specialist, who is also requiring him to follow up with the Neurologist.

Goodbye $200 for office visits. I'll take you out of his June disability check. I'll also take out the cost of whatever medications you all prescribe, and the $80 urostomy supplies he needs.

Fuck running the household, the car, eating, or any of that other inconsequential stuff.

I think medical care should be free and considered a human right.

On a different note, I think I may have finally defeated the squirrels who keep raiding one of the bird feeders. Those little shits are crafty. It took a few tries but I've been watching their recent unsuccessful attempts. Now one of them is just laying on a branch about 10 feet from me....staring at me.

Well, wait until you hear this!

I hung a piece of plexiglass on the rope over the bird feeder yesterday. The bird feeder is a pretty old ceramic one. When I came home earlier, I was sitting here and saw one of the squirrels trying to get on the plexiglass. I figured I'd watch and see what happens....until I noticed that two of the 3 rope strands had been chewed through and he was working on the third one. With the feeder about to fall and break....I picked up the bow and arrow sitting next to me (yeah...there really is a bow and a couple of arrows next to me....I keep it there because I like it) and intended to fire a warning shot to scare him away before the rope broke. Blunt tipped arrows and I didn't draw back far at all but it got him and knocked his ass right out of the tree (short fall). I felt bad because I really didn't mean to hit him but he seemed fine and I was able to get the feeder down before it fell. Then I hung it back up with steel cable and so far they haven't figured out a solution to that. But the one that was staring at me earlier watched me pick his buddy off. He was probably thinking "Dude! I thought we were all friends!" We are....but we're also friends with the birds so leave their shit alone!

I forgot to say that the engine light in my car has turned off. Everything seems to be fine.

First thing this morning after getting mower gas... I bent the fuck out of one of the new blades in the MTD... Made my day. I got it vaguely straight enough to use. Well, sort of anyways, for areas I'm not too worried about the looks of the lawn. Then later I locked up my chipper... Still haven't got that sorted. I did burn some of the wood that's not good enough for the furnace but not bad enough for the chipper that's been laying around. At least I didn't break the fire..... Yet. [IMG]

On some cars, the "check engine" light will come on for something as simple as not having the gas cap tight enough. But I'm glad it seems fine now.

The dealership called me about my wife's car and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I'm going to drive down there tomorrow and go for a drive with them. I know I'm not imagining shit. It sucks because it's about an hour away and it's the only dealership in my entire state. They'll bring the car back to my house if I want them too but I don't. I want them to feel what I'm feeling sometimes when I drive the car. I might as well visit my grandpa while I'm down there too.

And I got a call about the truck I have in the shop for a new clutch. Mysteriously, the yoke on the back of the transmission is broken. I'm pretty sure it was ok when I dropped it off but I can't be 100% sure of it. So that's going to be another chunk of change. I told them they might as well change the "E-brake" pads and the carrier bearing while they have all that shit torn down.

Finally got my part for this wood lathe and got to mess around with it tonight. I was just trying it out to see how well it works. It's ok but the piece of wood started looking a little like a dick so I kept moving in that direction and made a wooden dildo. Tomorrow is my wife's birthday so I showed it to her and told her it was my gift to her. :) Ahh...good times in the wood shop. She was actually pretty amused.
