they offered me some breakfast but all I could do was the orange juice, I did take the oatmeal and toast home and ate it for lunch. i took some opiates hours before going to the hospital, didnt seem like it absorbed at all. whatever was in my belly was blocking and my stomach felt hard and painful .. red sauce is the worst come up shit, can just feel the acid destroying teeth.

It's supposed to be 62 of Friday and 57 on Saturday. That should be warm enough to put the kayaks on the river, right? My wife says no....I say maybe.

I'm off to the gym and then the shooting range. I should be ready for sleepy time by the time I get back. Catch you cats later.

I wouldn't worry about the air temperatures as much as I'd worry about the temperature of the water.

I'm not planning on actually getting very wet. :)

But the water could still be frozen. I'm super stoked to get back out on the water asap though. I think I even saw some forecasts for next week in the high 70's to the low 80's.

in a wet suit you actually get wet

dry suit stays relatively dry and is used for cold water...or in some cases you actually have warm water pumped into the suit

Yesterday we had 51 cm of snow. Finally have dug out from it all and thankfully we have a snow blower. We set a record for not only the day but also largest amount in a single storm. How exciting is that. I think they tell us these things to try to make us feel better about it........ :bomb:

Building the black light fixture today...

Had a leftover piece of 3/8 marine quality plywood from a tearout when I put in the mudroom doors that is just enough to build the fixture. The stain on it is an exact color match too, although I didn't stain it and I'm using a product that wasn't available back when this piece was originally installed. I'm having to touch-up the edges where I've cut it with my stain and it looks like it's always been that way. How weird is that?
