someone is bugging me to fix their brakes so im going to try and do it now before the snow starts....expecting over a foot tonight and tomorrow

 

This snow sucks. I just went out and shoveled but it's pretty windy and the snow isn't finished yet so I'm sure I'll have to do it 2 or 3 or 8 more times. Maybe selling my snow blower wasn't the best idea.

I pulled my Jeep around front so my wife could take it on some errands and part of the driveway already had an inch of snow blown back over it when I got back.

 

Just took the car up to get the mail.... HOLYMOTHEROFFUGGIN@!^%$##@@$*^&%$.




I need a boat.

Rain is back... 3rd wave of storms today.

 

How is this for a random fact? I happened to see a political ad for Ben Carson this evening and was sure a friend of mine was in it. I was so sure that I actually sat down and waited for the commercial to air again. After I saw it again, I texted him to ask him about it. He said he knew nothing about it. I sent him a pic of him in the ad and ask if he posed for that pic. He said "I never posed for an ad but that looks like me and I have that camo hunting outfit and hat!" I was like "Yeah? No shit! I've seen you wear it plenty of times."

And.....my friend broke the bone in the tip of his index finger on his left hand a couple of years ago and he had to wear this metal brace thing. It healed a little crooked. It looks just like that same finger on the guy in the pic. Coincidentally, Ben Carson is a 7th Day Adventist and so is my friend. That may not mean anything but it's possible that the church gave the campaign access to some type of photo collection (that's the only thing we can think of....otherwise it's a completely random thing). Small world. Crazy.

My cousin married into that religion about 50 years ago and she's been happy with it.

 

Oh yeah... And now the temperature is going up to 51 degrees after being around freezing all day.




Yeah, I know... It's always been like this.

 

To be fair....he isn't very religious. That's the church his family goes to. He hasn't gone much since he was a kid. But my dad knew him and his parents when he was still alive because he was also a member of that church for a number of years. He was even the second-string pastor for a while. I never went to that church but I remember being somewhat amused.....because my parents were hippies. I remember asking my dad (when he told me he was doing sermons) if the church knew he smoked pot every day.

 

Yeah...totally normal.

I wish it was getting that warm again in my neck of the woods. We got 7-8 inches of snow or so....plus wind and drifting. I'm expecting a slow morning tomorrow.

 

speaking of pastors,, fatherinlaw has a couple of cars and since his wife died,, figured he could use the money and sell us the subaru.. this crazy fucker is just giving the car away to the pastor of his church.. not that I really need the car all that much but I am looking for a beater car.. but giving a car away to a church, are you fucking nuts? ...

 

It was nothing against your friend. That church on the other hand... Okay. Just about any church on the other hand...

Anyways, about that photo. If it was him how could he not remember having the picture taken. It's not your typical pose for a hunting picture.

High for the day was at midnight and it's been dropping ever since. That was also the high for yesterday. It'll be freezing some time this afternoon. At least the rains are done. I've never seen that pond on the property next to me as full as it is now. It's like twice it's normal size.
