My point was people thinking that it is insulting to mention a persons origins. When you meet an Indian person, all you have to do is mention India and you will have a friend for life. When you visit Dublin, try to travel across to the west coast, their are still villages where the only access across the ridge is on a donkey. Be careful not to visit on Friday afternoon and discover that the next bus back to Dublin is on Monday morning
All those people who gave their lives in ww2 to keep nazis and fascists from taking over, this is an insult to them .
Agreed, but I guess they'd rather just spread hate and fear throughout a random community, than spend the long holiday weekend at home with family and friends.
The group is called Patriot Front and they marched unannounced and without a permit, thus avoiding those pesky counter-demonstrators and their annoying differing opinions.
Which just goes to show what 'wimps' the Police are for not bringing the demonstration to a halt because it was illegal, and also what wimps those on the political left are in Indianopolis for not ensuring that fascists can demonstrate without counter protest !!!
Today I read the story of the Port of Chicago disaster during WW2. Significant in that I had never seen the story before….swept under the rug to not make people feel bad about blatant racism by the military. it’s long past time to stop the charades of CRT and “woke”. Racism was and is inexcusable. As Americans we have an obligation to acknowledge past crimes and build a better society. If anything, Biden was too lenient in his speech; the Maga crazies, and white supremacy groups need to be ignored and discarded as they should have been long ago.
Back in the 70s I spent a week in Jackson and felt like I was in a time warp.. At 5 pm the city vacated as the whites fled and no businesses were left open. A striking lack of black people in professional jobs; even in the Federal building where I was working. The streets had palatable stench of racism. Wouldn’t even be an issue had our society moved on.
