I dislike tame rabbits too. They're just boring. I don't hate them but I don't really see why someone would keep one.

This reminds me of Anya, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who was afraid of bunnies.

I adore rabbits. On the coast here we have these wonderful little brush bunnies and every time I see one I feel happier about life.

hate is stupid. rabbits smell bad and can be a pain for gardens. they also taste good to eat. can be fun to watch. can be quite intelligent. can painfully bite. can get diseases that will make their meat make you sick. jack rabbits and bunbuns are very different species. have different diseases and habits.

coyote's eat them. make safe distance friends with wolves and coyotes, and let them eat the rabbits. also of course, you can grow enough to feed both you and them. and the occasional deer and whatever else too.

rabbit droppings have too much nitrogen, but can be composted to solve that.

so yah, there are many "good" and "bad" sides to everything. even rabbits.

Hazel would care but it'd be BigWig that would tear everyone a new hole.

The wild hares are among the many things I miss about Calgary. Super-sized bunnies. And they'd seriously hang out in gangs. It was impressive.

When I was about 16, my cat dragged up a baby rabbit that was still alive, so we took it in and fed it cat's milk for a few weeks, then started introducing vegetables, first leafy greens and then some carrots. We weren't planning on keeping her as a pet, but dammit, we had the internet and I wanted to nurse a bunny back to health. When she got big enough that she chewed through the nipples of the bottles we gave her, we moved onto tougher nipples, but realized it was about time to let her loose. Feeding time was getting downright scary because as she got older, the less she allowed us to handle her. My dad knew someone who had a rabbit habitat sort of thing in her backyard, so we took the rabbit over there and let her loose and watched her run off into the grass.

What I learned from this experience is wild rabbits are crazy, paranoid, boring as fuck when you aren't trying to catch them to feed them, and stupid. And I wouldn't say they smell bad, just kind of weird. Cats and dogs smell way worse.

I think rabbits are sooo cute. My boyfriend's town is overrun by rabbits. They are literally everywhere. I love watching them hop around in the snow. My boyfriend shoots at them with bb guns :( I get soo mad! He once shot one right in between the eyes. It ran away underneath his shed. A couple months later, he saw the rabbit with a scar in between it's eyes. They are tough little buggers!
