“That is happiness; to be dissolved into something complete and great. When it comes to one, it comes as naturally as sleep.” From My Ántonia by Willa Cather
"oh... my God. Look who just walked in? Yuck. Ohh! My God! You have to be kidding me, look who just walked in? You wouldn't read about it, and if you did, it would be in a book of fucking jokes." ~Irminsul~
this is true. everything that exists is real. many cultures down through the ages, including the adversarial culture that is dominant today, have unfortunately a kind of collective narcissism, that sees people in other cultures as "other". people overcome this when it takes alliying with each other to defend their common interests. indiginous cultures today, for example, whatever their past differences, have come to respect the reality, of the dependence of preserving their own culture, on helping each other preserve theirs.
most of us don't eat with our feet. the keen eye and inquisitive mind spots the rabbit or the apple, those who expect everything to come to the quickest, miss almost everything. ------- authority has its place, maintaining social organization, which infrastructure depends upon, but it is entirely beside the point of objective reality truth is not what anyone says, even if they carved it in stone thousands of years ago, truth is what is still there, when no one is saying anything.
