"You said something I didn't say. Now shove it." Teresa Heinz Kerry (to Colin McNickle, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)
"I will and I can fight a more effective war on terror than George Bush is," John Kerry (is that a good thing?)
That flag doesn't belong to any president. It doesn't belong to any ideology and it doesn't belong to any political party. It belongs to all the American people. John Kerry
"Who can sum up all the ills the women of a nation suffer from war? They have all of the misery and none of the glory; nothing to mitigate their weary waiting for the loved ones who return no more." Elizabeth Cady Stanton Eighty Years And More " I will never apologize for the United States of America - I don't care what the facts are." George H.W. When you see the Southern Cross for the first time, you understand now why you came this way. Cause the truth you might be running from is so small. But it's as big as the promise, the promise of a coming day. Think about how many times I have fallen. Spirits are using me, larger voices calling. What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten. I have been around the world, looking for that woman-girl who knows love can endure. And you know it will, and you know it will. So we cheated and we lied and we tested and we never failed to fail, it was the easiest thing to do. You will survive being bested. Somebody fine will come along, make me forget about loving you at the Southern Cross. -CSNY
" Why of course the people don't want war. But it is the leaders who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Hermann Goerring
Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each one of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation. - Robert F. Kennedy
I think this is worth sharing: "Why do we play with fire? Why do we run our fingers through the flame? Why do we leave our hands on the stove, Although we know we're in for some pain? Oh why do we refuse to hang a light, Though the streets are dangerous? Why does it take an accident before the truth gets through to us? Cages or wings? Which do you prefer? Ask the birds Fear or love, baby? Don't say the answer Actions speak louder than words. Why do we try to do our best, When we can just get by and still gain? Why do we nod our heads, Although we know the boss is wrong as rain? Why should we blaze a trail when the well worn path seams safe and so inviting? How as we travel can we see the dismay and keep from fighting? Cages or wings? Which do you prefer? Ask the birds Fear or love, baby? Don't say the answer Actions speak louder than words. What does it take to wake up a generation? How can you make someone take off and fly? If we don't wake up and shake up the nation, We'll leave the dust of the world wondering why... Why do we stay with lovers who we know down deep just aren't right? Why would we rather put ourselves through hell then sleep alone at night? Why should we follow leaders who never lead? Why does it take catastrophe to start a revolution if we're so free? Tell me why. Someone tell me why so many people bleed... Cages or wings? Which do you prefer? Ask the birds Fear or love, baby? Don't say the answer Actions speak louder than They speak louder Actions speak louder than....." -"Louder Than Words" from tick, tick...BOOM! by Jonathan Larson
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." - Our Beloved President, Mr. George W. Bush
Twenty years from now you will be more disapointed by the things that you didn't do thay by the ones you did. Mark Twain
