I'm kinda in the same situation. Since half way through grade 12 (I'm going to my second year of University in September) I smoke once or twice on weekends during school and smoke at least once a day during summer and winter breaks. I know from the previous summer and winter breaks that I can moderate my useage once I get back, but I've never had a four month break where I smoke all the time. I've gone through a QP since the end of April and I'm hopeing my willpower will hold up when I go back to school, cause I know my wallet won't haha.

Good stuff man. I can kind of agree.... about enjoying marijuana in a different way now then back in the day.

Marijuana is great, in certain situations, but I don't think anyone should make a habit of it in an all day/everyday kind of way.

Good luck with your break, and meditation is amazing :cheers2:

Great post, both this and your original. It just goes to show, anything can be misused, and set/setting is extremely important. One of my mum's friends used to smoke weed, but she used to smoke too much and have panic attacks, so she's now extremely against the plant. I think your post could prove a good example to her as of how setting is the most important factor.

A lot of the time weed is a good scapegoat, even I've used it as one when it isn't the factor to blame. I think the problem is, because it isn't harmful, we overdo it and then we figure it's bad and try to run from it - only seeing our own errors after taking a bit of a break and returning.

I always wanted to take a break but "never got around to it" because it was always there always readily avalible, my friends would give it to me for free if I was out of my own. I loved it but I was experiencing about everything you mentioned here. I was always behind my parents back and I knew something was wrong and I wanted to take a break I just never did, then I got arrested and stopped smoking, finally taking this long needed break. I get random tests till july next year I think so it'll be another year or so before I smoke again, but I am sorta happy I finally get to have my break, and I definately have learned a lesson and will control myself next time. It's been about 4 months for me now and I feel pretty much back to normal but I still just wanna toke up but I still havn't givin in. It makes me feel good about myself that I don't sit there with my friends and just "have a hit for the hell of it" I control myself. Good luck to you sir

you know what.. it's been 2 months since i've stopped smoking weed.
and i feel--oddly enough--like there is something missing =[ maybe its just the changing of the seasons.. or is it some perverse, subtle form of withdrawal?
i quit for good reasons, after all.
