Why can you not inquire as to why someone got banned? That's fucking ridiculous.

 

You signed up for the forums, didn't you read the forum rules and guidelines? It's all explained there lazyass.

lol nah. I wouldn't want to mod this forum. Too many "I want to join forum so I click 'I agree' without reading anything and hope I didn't sign my soul away to Skip or whoever and when I break forum guidelines I whine and complain and ask why the rules are set up that way without even looking to see if there's an explanation in the proper section for that type of thing" kind of slacker members.

 

He got banned for saying 1 string tapping on guitar isn't metal.

And then proceeded to say Slayer are one of his favourite bands.

The irony still kills me to this day..

.....Well that's not really what he got banned for... But that's what I would have banned him for if I had the power....

Actually, it's because they don't wanna be inundated with Drama questions. Nor do they want forums filled with threads like "why'd so and so get banned?" It's a huge huge site. If everyone complained over bannings they couldn't get any work done. And it says that in your quote Bhitzle

Judging by how you used Metallica as an example I shouldn't have to tell you how many people they have influenced.....

But yeah man. Every metalhead knows Metallica used to be just as heavy (if not heavier) than all of the other thrash bands. To say otherwise is foolish. They may not be good now (just like Slayer and Megadeth) but that doesn't take away what they did.

I think "good" metal would be bands like.

This is Skip's forum, and he makes the rules. Whether we like them or not, we have to abide if we do not want to get banned. End of story. That's about all I can tell you. Trust me, I have had my fair share of annoyance with/anger about it.
