According to the Ethiopian Orthodox church, the one you guys supposedly subscribe to (Rasta being a branch of it), white people can't be Rasta, it's an impossibility, you must be black. Being a "white rasta" must be crappy, knowing Selassie will come back and only take the black people with him and leave your asses behind....

i havent really touched this thread, because i'm smart enough to know that i'm ignorant enough on the topic to not be able to contribute, but this is just stupid. and i think most of the people in here would agree with me on the fact that wearing dreads is about as far from wanting to be anything as you can get. i wear dreads because i want to be me, and i am knotty. my dreads are mine, they are nobody elses, and thats kind of the point, i grew them, i wear them and they dont look like anybody elses.

blacks get tiger woods, we get colon powell, the chinese get the wu tang clan and nobody wants condie, its the way the world works, we steal culture, but nobody can really claim dreadlocks as being their own, learn your history, its EVERYBODY

 

I cant' wait until the part where we argue who had dreads first... Cuz you all know it's coming.

i love and respect my self as white
dreadlocks are not just for black people, the ethiopian church may be just for blacks (but its the same as any other orthodox church that accepts only the local people)
dont forget what white people did to black people it may sound odd but it is a normally evolved racism .. they received our racism and now we receive theirs)
