the Egyptians believed in a completely different system. there were multiple gods. they dont relate. the explainations of those verses makes sense. however, could be out of context. [in my opinion you are taking them out of context in your explaination] my degree isnt worthless. ive read the Torah, Quran, Holy Bible over 3x each. theres a reason why im getting one and you're not. same principle applies with a psych degree or whatever. some things are just more debatable. you have your opinion and i have mine. nice meeting you half way. :cheers2:
I believe in carnivorous aliens who are highly evolved and every x'thousand years they destroy everything we've built, eat and/or mate with inhabitants and the new offspring go on to repopulate the earth, this is how i explain evolution to people, as the addition of evolved genes and what-knot to the gene pool, similar to how the obelisk in 2001 space odyssey causes the apes to evolve...although my version involves aliens reproducing with them... er yer i tend to lose people there, the point is people can and do find that strange, but they'd struggle to argue beyond 'that's not true' against it
Of course the majority of mainstream religions believe in the exact same god... regardless of their title... I may be messing my words up, but the difference relies in who the religions regard as being prophets or "enlightened" peeps. And another useless fact... many people do not believe in carbon dating and feel there is no science to prove that carbon dating is in fact truthful or exact. (this is not my belief). I'm loving this discussion. =)
Damn double quote... I'm liking these new updates on the site Fancy new icons... Fancy in-post editing... yummy ^^
Actually no the Egyptians do matter because you said oldest religion. You didn't specify single god or not. I named 3 other ones that predate your claims. You just said oldest religion and nothing about how many gods. Those verses aren't out of context. Once again (as you requested) I provide proof to my claims and you try to dismiss it and say your opinion says otherwise. Your opinion is irrelevant when facts are presented. That would be like me saying in my opinion 2 + 2 doesn't equal 4. My opinion that it doesnt equal 4 is obviously wrong and is irrelevant. And I don't give a fuck about the degree that you have because I have a degree in a different field. We both have the same level of post secondary education so don't try to be all high and mighty. And no my claims are not opinions, I am arguing using scientific facts. I haven't stated my opinion in this debate with you.
i walk, i talk, but i no crawl on my belly like a reptile, jah know. don ding- dong ding ding ding eek-a-motherfuckin-mouse. get that shit!
Well, you gave your interpretations of those three verses. Your interpretation isnt the only one... It's not a FACT by any means... you're not even a credible source to giving a solid interpretation. You named the Egyptians, yep. 3 others? I dont remember you mentioning 4 religions. I'll let that slide though. The times of Noah were drenched with sin. As it says in the bible, torah, and quran word for word. This was the times of the Egyptians reign. There were few believers. There was little to no scripture recorded during that time. If there was recordings, I havent read them or heard of them. Your interpretations are your opinion. They may or may not be out of context since they are YOUR interpretations. They arent as you say "scientific facts." That was pretty funny to read though Pat. I dont know what you were thinking... On the other hand, i'm giving you textual evidence and citations. You have presented interpretations of verses in some version of the Holy Bible. But no. My major doesn't mean anything. just to be completely clear with everyone reading this. these are Pats evidence; "He has fixed the earth firm, unmoveable" psalm 96:10. So the earth doesnt spin on an axis "I saw 4 angels standing on four corners of the earth" revelation 7:1. The corners!?!?? The earth must be flat "Again, the devil taketh him up to an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world" Matthew 4:8. A flat world sure would be beatuful. Too bad its round and we will never get to see it all at once. the proceeding comments are Pats. they are his interpretations. they are most-likely misleading
rude bwoy, ya cyaan overstand what i an i speak? i an i thought that dreadman means rastaman. you mus affi bald head or picki picki head?
