About god, it's not a concept we can understand with much if any depth, so what's the point in trying to figure out or saying we know what this god looks like or is. That's like saying, I can comprehend the universe, time and space in their entirety and here's what it looks like: But in any case, I think there is propaganda on both sides when it comes to this debate. When it comes to acid, I would take everything you hear with a grain of salt, whether it comes from some self proclaimed acid guru, or some public service announcement. They've both got their own interests in mind. If you eat huge amounts of the stuff, you're going to be a very different person. Hell, if you eat it just once, you're going to be a very different person, it's an unspeakably incredibly profound experience. Whether or not you will go crazy...well, everything in moderation, I say, and you should be fine. Undoubtedly some people go off the deep end, but try it once and you'll see it's not as easy as it sounds to dose yourself to the extreme 24-7. Of course, it wouldn't be farfetched to say IMO that it could only take one really fucked up trip to scramble your head. Weirder shit has happened. You are buying a drug off the street, more or less. And then comes in to question are these people really insane, just because they aren't how they used to be, or how "normal" people are? I'd say more often than not, no, these people actually are batshit, but weirder shit has happened. And THEN comes in to question, does it really matter how we perceive them, to us they may be completely loony, but in their own heads maybe they've got something. I guess it's a matter of philosophy. Plus, we'll never know. But don't take my word for any of this.
^^^ not sure if that guy is dead or asleep but whatever it is, i would rather be him than the rest of the blind fools.
Occasionally soldiers standing in formation for many hours may faint as a result of gravity pulling blood away from their brain and into their legs. Must suck.
I saw it happen to a JHS student while rehearsing the school anthem. They just dragged her back a few feet and kept singing. 3xI, who are these blind fools you're talking about? The other soldiers?
God is a concept by which we measure our pain.. ill say it again God is a concept by which we measure our pain - John Lennon
well.... I just tried it for the first time yesterday everyone's right..... make sure you're comfortable wherever you are because otherwise it might get scary as far as never coming down..... I thought the whole time I was never going to come down.. but I did. I dont really think there are any bad side effects besides if you have a bad trip, memory loss, and you most likely wont be able to sleep when you're on it.... oh... and realizing how distorted reality actually is and how it can never be fixed is sort of a downer
Well my friend told me once that a guy he knew through people started thinking he was a glass of orange juice on acid and never stopped... but... I dont know the guy
That is an urban legend. There are no reported cases of an LSD trip never stopping; your body naturally ejects all of it within a maximum of 4 days, and there are many ways to force an LSD trip to a halt; large dose of vitamins, or tranquilizers. The only bad thing to happen to people on acid, that is not an urban legend, is that it can cause pre-existent psychological problems to surface, resulting in people "going crazy" (I really dislike pop-psychological lingo, and the sane/insane duality is such crap), or sometimes commiting suicide (although I suspect they often don't even know they are doing it). Case in point, if I am to believe this, a friend of a friend was having such a good time on acid, and felt so in touch with everything, that he promptly leapt off a bridge and into a highway, because he thought he could fly or something. I think this falls into the category of "pre-existent psychological issues", as thinking you can fly in any context is a little sketchy. It betrays a fundamental lack of touch with reality. As Bill Hicks put it, why don't these people take off from the ground like birds if they think they can fly?
I think it all comes to question: Do you want truth or mercy? If you want mercy, rather don't take LSD, but if you want truth there will be no problem.
I dont know that any of us would know what we want until we are presented the question... Even then there is doubt.
3xi you are wrong [no flame intended]. Sure, many soilders are blind fools but no more blind than the rest. I would agree that all soldiers are blind when the become soldiers, as nothing can prepare you for the sacrafice of self that you make when you become one. Soldiers are people too. They feel love and pain just like any of us, and have to face the consequences or rewards of their choices. To suggest otherwise is pure ignorance.
