Great reply, I agree with this. I imagine (with my uneducated opinion) that there is some sort of quota for prescribing these SSRI's and such. People I know get them prescribed all the time, one even for headaches! What has been initially advised as a temporary medication for people with less severe conditions (often to help get clients into therapy sessions to begin with) is becoming a lifelong treatment, Big Pharma does have a lot to answer for.

I got lucky. I've got a therapist, can't remember exactly what he works as psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, whatever, but I flat out told him no meds and that was that.

Overall my experience has been extremely positive for me. It's a shame it isn't so for many people. It really depends on the doc

 

There are plenty of anti-drug movements. Join one and request assignments. You'll probably end up handing out flyers. :driving:
