Psychedelic Bump XXXIV

Yeah Pork, we had discussed it previously. No worries, though. Good advice is always welcome, and there's nothing wrong with caution. The seed of doubt didn't come from you specifically. I've had rough/disorienting experiences combining weed with acid, 2C-E and 25i before.

I have dosed Miprocin everything from sub-threshold (5mg) up to 30mg. Like yourself, I have liked it a lot since first encountering it. Its biggest advantage is the modest tripping time. 3-4 hours is a perfect length for an evening venture. I think the "sweet spot" for most occasions is in the 16-18mg area. For my first attempt at combining with weed, I would probably be doing ~12mg.

 

I get what you say about the MDMA rounding out the edges of weed. When I take it I usually smoke copious amounts of dope and never encounter the ''oh shit I'm really high'' of weed. Just like ''holy crap I love weed. Holy crap I'm so grateful for weed''

Are you guys regular smokers though? Around here it feels like weed just goes hand in hand with... everything really..

 

yeah i smoke everyday, but that doesn't prevent me from getting some anxiety when i combine weed with psychedelics.

don't get me wrong...sometimes the combination works out great

also, i think i tend to recall the difficult experiences a lot more readily than the pleasant ones. since i smoke everyday, i have a pretty good chance of smoking when i trip (ha, i guess that would guarantee it, but sometimes i intentionally abstain from weed when planning to trip), so if it goes fine...that's "normal" in my book. but when i become uncomfortable, i tend to make a note like "be careful when combining weed with ____," but really i know that i should be a bit careful when combining weed with any psychedelic.

but i don't take the weed "combinations" too seriously either. i would say i smoke on 90% or more of my trips. but for maybe about 40-50% of those trips, i wait until after the peak to smoke for the first time that day.

OK but can you pinpoint a specific compound that you enjoy without weed and see the trip ''tarnished'' by weed, or is it just like you said, you smoke all the time anyways, so it's more random?

 

i guess i feel like LSD is somewhat "tarnished" by adding weed. i don't usually trip on a whim, and especially with LSD i tend to plan my trips at least a couple days in advance. with LSD in particular, i "try" not to smoke on the day that i'm going to trip, until after the peak, or until i feel like the trip could use a boost if it's not quite as strong as i hoped. or if i'm not tripping until the evening, i might smoke in the morning and then hold off until after the peak of my trip.

i just feel like LSD is almost a perfect drug, so it doesn't need anything combined with it. smoking while on a good dose of L seems to make the trip more cloudy and confusing, and one of the things i really appreciate about LSD is how crisp and fresh it makes everything look/feel/sound/taste like

but i would say that the trips that are more unpleasant with weed (rather than just clouded by weed and not really "needing" the addition of weed)...those unpleasant trips are more random. it's happened to me on 2ce, on miprocin, on LSD, and i'm sure on other substances. but it's a pretty easy fix...i just don't smoke much weed when i'm tripping

I have had positive experiences combining weed post-peak with LSD. And the time I combined weed with 25i made it more intense, but neither better nor worse. But there have also been occasions when adding weed to LSD or to 2C-E just took a nice trip and ruined it. Made it way more scary and disorienting. Maybe the underlying issue was set or setting, but this has been my experience.

i've also had weed take a mushroom trip that was a little dark and sinister and turn it into a happy-go-lucky trip.

I've been watching this in bits and pieces since Pop posted this. I feel like a little at a time is the best way to experience it because it's so dense and so full of wisdom that it's better to watch a part and then digest it for a while.

As outrageous as some of his ideas were, his influence and importance in psychedelic thinking is monumental. He is the psychedelic intelligentsia. However, I feel like his intelligence, creativity, mixed with the idea that he wasn't afraid to speak his mind and offer his ideas straight up without any sugar coating, has played against his ideology. It's too much for most people to understand, and threatening to those smart enough to grasp what he is saying without being open to it. Reading/watching McKenna is the psychedelic equivalent to reading/watching Chomsky on political matters.

 

I gotta say you are pretty brave to decide to smoke weed while in a dark and sinister trip...

Might be tricky to convince my wife that it is totally safe to travel to another country to do drugs with people I met on the internet... but I can wear her down.

 

Thinking back, it's been quite some time... I don't think I've ever done LSD or mescaline and not smoked weed.... Seemed the thing to do at the time. (or is that "all the time")

Of course man! I'm at work and we don't have youtube here but the video is called ''The Transcendental Object at the End of Time''. It lasts 3 and a half hours.

 

I remember this time , buddies and I were tripping nuts. I had some Leaf/prerolled doobies. when one my friends said "this is the best weed ever".. I lold, and then when I thought about it, we was getting a nice buzz but it wasnt overwhelming the trip, it was just something to burn..

 

Bump for about 10mg of 2C-B, and I am honestly surprised at how effective such a low dose is.
I had NOT expected such musical enhancement from such a low dose!
