Psychedelic Bump XXXIV

Ah man I wish I could! I just moved back to Colorado last weekend, and while it is slightly closer than Texas that'd be quite a drive for me. Maybe when I can split the gas with my girlfriend in the future.

 

This has been a weird trip. I fucked an escort on my past Shroom trip on Friday the 13th due to some mental fixation issues. I am feeling like simultaneously super remorseful yet liberated.

With that looming over my head for most the trip, I still found it pretty interesting overall. Got some guitar playing in at the beginning, went to a local reservoir and definitely felt the summer vibes with all the people out and about. The trip seemed to last longer than either Miprocin or Moxy on it's own and I had a slight headache coming down. I have only tried Miprocin once before but Moxy seemed to set the emotional otone but it was more visual and intoxicating which seemed like the Miprocin aspects. There were not too many OEV's but the Closed Eye visuals were fairly interesting and I'd kind of drift on and feel removed from my surroundings for a few moments. They seemed to move horizontally across my minds eye, forming defined yet not really familiar shapes and patterns.

speaking of CEVs on miprocin, i had some very intricate ones on my last trip of 22 mg. got a few body complaints at that dose, which could be because i've done miprocin kinda often, rather than because it was one of my higher doses. 18-20 mg is quite a solid trip though.

 

do you use the $20 gemini scale pork?

 

yes i do. i used to use an analytical balance in the lab, accurate to 0.1 mg. but i got the gemini for convenience. i used to scale out a bunch of doses in lab, for future use. so when it came time to trip, i would have to choose from a selection of pre-measured doses. now i can just weigh what i want, though the accuracy is a bit less.

we got a new refrigerator today. maintenance delivered it today when we weren't home, and they switched all of our food to the new fridge. they also had to move my two mason jars filled with psychedelics...i wonder if that felt a small buzz for a second holding onto all that

 

Bump for 40mg MXE. First time using it since last August.

I will definitely be treating it with the respect and discipline it requires this time around.

 

what ROA? I've only ever tried sniffing MXE and I don't really like it that way. I've heard some good things about sublingual though...

 

it doesnt scare you to lose control of your body or mind when doing these things ?

 

you lose control of your body much more so on high doses of alcohol.

and do you ever really have control over your mind?

 

sublingual is nice, tho the taste isn't although if you're careful to keep it exactly under your tongue there's no taste buds there so its not too bad.

you should try oral, i personally think oral has the best effects, it does last longer too and doesn't usually take that much longer to kick in than the other methods.

i do like snorting it tho, but it's terrible for your nose. i've gotten pretty bad nose bleeds that required stuffing tissue paper in my nostrils to stop the flow, and this can be kinda scary if your tripping balls. it's not that cool if it happened in public either.

i've never gotten nosebleeds like that from any other chems, but nose bleeds on MXE apparently isn't too uncommon.

i don't think so, i think free will is probably just an illusion and we're only really aware of the most top-level processes in our mind. so really for any process of which outcome depends on a set of conditions, there can only be one outcome unless something changes the conditions (which could be part of the process itself..to modify input) such that would cause a different outcome to occur. i feel its much like the logic of computers and computer programs, although computers only perform one operation at a time the brain has many processes going on simultaneously, processes that take input from other processes and which the output becomes the input of other processes as well. i'm sure as with everything, the tiny bits of quantum randomness can add up, and in certain cases become significant enought to alter 'program flow'

 

when drinking you make descions you wouldnt make sober but doing those other things you can see stuff that isnt there an you cant control how it makes you feel like if it goes to far you cant slow it down like stop drinking and drink water an eat bread. you never get scared of not knowing what its going to do to you ?

 

There is a level of bravery and caution that it takes to explore psychedelics, or perhaps you may characterize it as hardheadness, but that is often why many recommend to take them under a good set and setting. Not everyone is cut out to explore these plants and chems and certainly not to the degree that many of us here do, as they are not necessarily benign, but then again neither are legal and acceptable drugs such as alcohol and cigarettes. There is a disproportionate amount of negative propaganda by mainstream media towards psychedelics as well which perhaps clouds the potential real benefits and risks of them. Some of these newer 'research chemicals' psychedelics don't have the safety profile or history of use as certain psychedelics, so perhaps there is an element of some of us playing with fire when exploring chemicals without an established safety profile.

That said, Alcohol often can lead to belligerence, violence, domestic abuse, blackouts, and a whole range of other significantly deleterious effects. Psychedelics rarely elicit that type of deviant behavior in individuals. Bad trips can occur but that can often be somewhat of a way to prevent abuse or is often resultant of people not paying attention to some of the variables such as mindset and setting which can have significant influence over one's trip. People often report that their bad/difficult trips are often the most beneficial for them. A minority of users report HPPD/flashback type effects but some seem to accept it and even kind of welcome it, for others it may be undesirable but on the rare occasions where it seems to be affecting their daily lifes there usually is the general recommendation that people cut back their use at that point, just as you might someone who drinks to blackout or something and most psychedelics don't come with the addictive aspect that is often the case with alcohol.

The loss of control with alcohol tends to be to numb, with psychedelics it's often to enhance awareness and explore consciousness.

5 of us took a tab each out in the forest yesterday, 3 of which had previously not taken any psychedelics. We also had one other friend with us who was being our trip-sitter, leading us around the forest.

It was a pretty good time. We all dosed by their camp and after throwing some frisbee and coming up, walked up the near-by mountain. It isn't a huge mountain, but enough of one to get a nice view over the trees. The clouds were also amazing during the early afternoon, hanging low and looking quite surreal.

We had a good time just running around the forest, feeling the crunch of the moss under our feet, and laughing about nothing in particular. One of my friends started to feel a bit weird after a while, as we were running around in the forest in places he didn't recognize. As soon as we got to the camp again, he felt more secure and resumed feeling good. (Good to learn a lesson like that about setting during a first trip!)

We had a close encounter with some other people in the forest. There was a group of what sounded like young girls riding around on motorbikes/quads in the forest, and at one point they were really close to us, and we could see their heads a bit off in the forest. Would have been a nice and awkward encounter for everyone if they had come and tried to talk to us.

All in all, a good time, and we wrapped it up by smoking some hash and weed blunts. :sifone:

 

I love tripping and hiking. It's helpful to manage the bodyload when you're walking around that much.

 

Maybe with acid although often I don't find it to have a significant body load regardless of what I'm doing.

The only time I've puked on shrooms was after walking for awhile.

There is a big rave at Red Rocks here in a week or two. Massive 3 day thing. Infected Mushroom will be there but probably only playing a 60-70 min set and you have to buy a 3 day pass. Not much I want to see but them Allot of dubstepy stuff.

 

This will be a relatively intimate rave I'm going to, spinning a lot of house, trance, electro, probably some other genres too. Fireworks right on the water beforehand, I'm excited!
