Psychedelic Bump XIX

^ I'm currently taking piracetam I find it good as an anti depressant when used about weekly. I've noticed some tolerance when using it daily tho. Never been on SSRI's to compare its effectiveness.

 

I have close experience with quite a few people who have had good results (some transformative) from SSRIs for depression, GAD, and other problems - the positive outcomes far outweighed the negatives. But that issue has been beaten half to death.

Of greater interest to me is the question of SSRIs and psyches (including MDMA).

 

Very interested in these comments too. I haven't yet had a rightous experience with 25i, 25b seems like it would be most excellent.

 

Im pretty sure ypu knkw this but SSRIs and MDMA can cause serotonin syndrome and that can be deadly, so that's a no go.
As for other psychedelics SSRIs seem to cancel or atleast hinder their effects...

 

i've tried a handful of anti-depressants over the years and had no luck with them. some made me feel better at the beginning (possibly placebo) and others just made me feel shitty and kind of zombie-ish.

the best thing that i've found for my anxiety and depression is B12, fish oil, and exercise. and weed sometimes.

 

Finally getting around to trying 6apb, its a pretty unique roll. If I recall you don't really enjoy speedy trips, my warning/advice is if you take a strong dose is to hang with it the first 20 mins or so during the onset if youre feeling overstimulated, it levels out really well but the rush to peak can feel pretty overbearing.

 

Dose was 1.5mg 25b-NBOMe, Pre-complexed blotters taken buccally.
Comeup was a lot less noticable than with 25i, much smoother run, but took longer to kick in, 45-60 minutes compared to usually 15-30 minutes with 25i.

For me 25i is basically just visual, balls to the walls fractals and rainbows. This is cool, and still a really enjoyable trip, but it doesn't have the same feeling about it. I find it's much harder to just let go and get lost in the 25i trip than it is with the 25b.

The visuals on 25b are almost mescaline like for me, very subtle breathing, and rooms etc feeling bigger, but mainly everything was just launched in to super HD. This complimented the euphoria and the incredible one-ness that I felt as everything fell in to place and worked perfectly around me. I have never experienced euphoria or a feeling similar to what I felt on my last 25b trip. I was almost brought to tears at the shear beauty of the visualiser, with the music, the feelings, the vibes, the lights, everything just falling into place and the world seemed infinitely right.
This trip also gave me a strong insight into my current life and group of friends. We've been going through some shake ups within our group of friends, with people falling out over this and that. This trip was spent with just my girlfriend and my best friend and his girlfriend, and the bonds of friendship really felt incredible. I wouldn't have had anywhere near as good a trip without their company, specifically their company.


I've found thought loops a problem with 25i-NBOMe. Since it's much harder to become completely lost and involved in the trip, this substance can become greatly introspective for me, and there have been a few times when I've had to be caught out of some pretty mad loops. I thought I was living through the same second for hours one night as everytime i looked around, everyone felt like they were in the exact same possition as just a moment before, every time.


All in all, I preffer 25b-NBOMe as to me it gives a much more complete trip. It's introspective as well as being remarkably fun and silly, and you can become completely lost in the feeling of the trip.

In all honestly, I've never had a trip which connected so perfectly with the music as this one. The music was the trip, completely and utterly just lost in it.
I like that they've went back to producing some incredibly different stuff. I mean, MPP is different to anyone else out there, but it still has that pop backbone to it. Centipede Hz though. WOW.

The thing with me is that I have a particular problem where I get caught up in situations that make me miserable and I have a hard time getting out. About 6-7 years ago I decided to turn my life around and got on meds, which gave me the edge to make the changes I needed, made the changes, got off the meds, spent a year being the happiest I have ever been, met a woman, slowly slipped back into the same situation, and now I've been miserable on and off for 3-4 years. It's like I've learned to live like this. I just think I'm about to go on them temporarily again, see if they give me the kick I might need.

 

I was on Zoloft a few months ago and I really wanted to do MDMA, but I read all over the place that Zoloft greatly reduces its effects, while only slightly diminishing psychedelics.

Once I tapered off Zoloft I felt no different, even better actually, since coming off of it was shit with the vague withdrawal symptoms (dizzying brain shock things). All I really needed was a change of mindset. If your depression is seriously fucking with you at all times, do not hesitate to go on medication.

Perhaps 25b will come to be one of the most highly favored of this series just like bees seems to be one of the favorites of the 2c series.

Are the different 25x derived from their 2c counterpart? I remember reading somewhere that they were all based on 2c-I, but that seems sort of counter intuitive.

@Darkglobe: Thanks for the review. I relate with 25i being difficult to let go on and I found it gruelingly analytical at times, something more light hearted yet retaining the introspection and flair of 25i sounds very interesting.

No problem, I've really enjoyed my experiences with this class of chemical so far, and for completely different reasons in each case. But 25b in particular feels the most fluid. It's easy to get absorbed in, but the clearer headspace still keeps you in alot of control, and it allows for a lot of clear thinking. you can get lost in your thoughts but still appreciate those around you and your surroundings.

I really just have a goot feeling about 25b, it seems the most involving but fun, and also seems to me to be the safest to push in terms of dose. It has a really clear headspace to it which keeps everything really together.

Yeah, the 25x-NBOMe's are all derived from their related 2c-x. Having never yet tried any of the 2c-x's, can anyone who has say if there is any relationship between the aspects of a 2c-x and it's 25x-NBOMe counterpart?

My last 25i trip was a weird one. It started off fine, with really really intense fractal patterning over everything, and euphoria, but then a few things in the night got me thinking some hard thoughts, and went in to some thought loops.
Started to get a strange feeling coming from my hands, like there was slime over them or something, this spread and the next half of my night was spent with complete dissociation from my body and surroundings, and extreme confusion. I felt the overwhellming urge to go to sleep and ride it off, but I had no idea how to even try sleeping; the concept had escaped me.
Eventually crashed out, and woke up an hour later with almost zero visuals except on a few paintings, and pretty much sober head.

 

It's interesting you asked that because reading your comparison of 25b to 25i reminded me a bit of some of the differences I found between 2cb and 2ci.

There are some similarities I found between 2ci and 25i-nbome but they are very much their own trips as well.

 

So seems like the 2c-x and 25x-NBOMe maybe dont directly share aspects, but the differences between the different 25x's are similar to the differences between the 2c-x's maybe?

Its interesting to see then how the structure of these classes of compounds have an impact on things down to the level of perception of senses, and that the derived relationship between the 2c and the NBOMe shows similar differences in acctual effects.

 

25i sinus, make love to my gf in the autumn rain bump.. roa is the one that ive been missing out on.. even with the weekend tolerance that past.. its right on. actually intended a small break, but the weather called me out.. warm rain from the south. kinda nice.
