Psychedelic Bump XII

One interesting thing is that I was told I look healthier today than I have for the past few days, which is strange, because I feel drained like a mofo. lol

 

Quality of visuals? Liquidy? Runny? Fractal-y? Colorful?

Body buzz strong? Mechanical? Organic? Enveloping? Electric?

You've got me thinking about dosing 100mg or so, but I know you can give some badass descriptions other than that it was just intense. :2thumbsup:

 

The visuals were amazing, of course. They mainly consisted of fractal/liquid waves and layers. "Layers", as in multiple visuals on top of eachother, which is awesome. That happens during most 2ce trips though, ime.

The body buzz wasn't really that strong this time, oddly enough. It was there, but it took a backseat to the visual chaos.

 

Do you think maybe you've built a tolerance to the effects?
You have been dosing pretty high consistently over the period of the last few weeks (I think?).

Maybe if you take a week or two sober and then dose 150mg you'll be back to that ego loss electric body buzz you like so much. :tongue:

 

Nah, I don't think so. The effects, for me, have always been the same when I dosed 3 days apart. No tolerance.

Trust me, dude......I was GONE. I listened to 4 hours of music without realizing it. I didn't even move a muscle, that I know of. lol Shit got deep

One of the (many) bad things about prohibition is the lack of knowledge about the doses that go around. I too first did trips back in the day, (late 70's-early 80's) and the most I ever did was two. A few times it was massively deep, other worldly intense. The only trips I've had recently have been with microdots that "seem" to me about similar in strength to blotter and windowpane I had years ago. I've felt no need to do 2 even, though I may sometime. In an anecdotal way, I suspect what is oft repeated, that average blotter doses these days are 40-80 mics is true. 30 years ago I never ever heard even rumors or stories of anyone doing the numbers of hits people do now. I can see doing 10 40ug hits. Doing 10 150ug tabs would be higher than anything documented in the legal psychedelic research done in the 60's.

 

Well like that moderate dosing thread asserts, there is actually very little therapeutic value in heroic doses, it is completely hedonistic. There is just way too much "out there" stuff going on for any personal issues to be dealt with or even come up IME. My use of "hedonistic" does not rule out any kind of spiritual angle . . .

 

Untrue. In the Journal of the Kentucky Medical Association someone was documented as having injected 320mg and dying, the LD/50 is 14mg, but one guy survived dosing 40mg. In Abram Hoffer's day

Yeah usually people who dealt with crystal LSD and mistook it for Meth and stuff. Stops your breathing at titanic doses like that.

 

If you have all that acid, why the fuck would you even bother with meth ?

@writer: the dudes who really pushed the limits with LSD were the Sandoz-funded CIA LSD clinic guinnea pigs in NYC's West Village and SF's Haight Ashbury District.

i wouldn't call it lame if you need 2 or 3 hits, really. just on the weak side. but i've gotten stuff where one did the trick. 2 is a little more amazing. and the thought of 3 is a bit scary.

i didn't know (or recall) that Shulgin made pesticides for DOW which allowed him pretty much free reign to do what he wanted..for awhile.
i learned a couple other things that i can't recall at the moment. i haven't watched it all yet.
a couple potential employers for me though?! i will soon have a PhD in biochemistry after all. i've considered sending david nichols an email. and after seeing him in this movie, he seems very approachable - talking about how he's always thought that the way to change the system is from within it, and working through all of the red tape. i didn't know before if he had a passion for psychedelics, or was just more of a regular scientist interested in receptor kinetics. again, from the movie - i can see that passion. imagine if i could fucking work in a lab that did that type of work!! i would fucking LOVE my job. instead of coming home and reading on hipforums when i could better spend my time reading journal articles about tRNA (my current lab topic) - i'd be reading journal articles about serotonin receptor agonists.

i'm gonna re-watch that with a closer eye on all the scientists. though i don't think i could work with the guy doing work with rats. in such tiny fucking boxes, shooting them up with hardcore psychedelics.

i'm not setting my hopes too high here though, mostly just dreaming. but hey, you never know. i don't think david nichols has an easy time with funding though (a pretty big consideration in his ability to hire people [ME])

Every time before I take 2c-e I get kind of nervous even though I love it every time and there's virtually nothing that makes me feel uncomfortable. It's like I force myself to do it. I definitely want to trip in my apartment and with my dog before I move out and give him back to my mom, but I'm getting those cold feet again. ERG.
I'm still going to trip tonight but I always try to talk myself out of it.
