Looks like i wont be tripping for a while. just found out i fractured my 12th thoracic vertebrae snowboarding. fortunately im not paralyzed. just waiting in the hospital to get transferred to another hospital with a neuro surgeon. theyre not sure if i need surgery or not yet but it seems likely. and yes you can snowboard in va in the summer http://www.liberty.edu/snowflex/

^^^sorry to hear that man. get a 2nd and 3rd opinion before surgery though. my cousin got in a car accident with two semis (tractor trailers) and fucked up his back like crazy.

and about those shivas - they are indeed quite good. at the risk of repeating myself, i gave my bro the larger half of one for his first psychedelic. i took one + the smaller half. we dropped around 3:30pm at a music festival and had an A W E S O M E trip to say the least. i wish the same for you, spiralout.

 

Simply amazing..

I ended up taking like 35mg 2C-E orally along with like 15-20mg nasally, and they started playing Swoon just as I was peaking. I was swaying with the music and I was crying from how amazing I felt.

The visuals were absolutely fucking nuts. Lasers everywhere, an amazing backdrop of visuals, awesome lighting - if there was ever a way to show synaesthesia - their light show did a perfect job.

One of the most awesome parts of the show for me was when they played "Believe" - they showed some blueprints for churches and mosques and had it zooming through them, it was like some crazy closed eye visuals - only open eye. The funny part was they had this church outline they kept showing, and I looked at the portable toilet next to me at one point, distracted by my morphing visuals - and noticed there was a small etching of the same church outline on it, pretty strange haha.

The crowd went crazy for them to get them to play their last song, and with each song being more visually intense than the last it was pretty crazy. I literally felt like I was blasting off into space listening to it.

I did record some of it on my phone but I was dancing to the music so it was shaky, and my phone camera sucks anyway - so I dunno whether I'll upload it or not, you can probably just see the colour of the lighting and none of the fancy effects.

Also had some great fun in their club tent where they were playing trance, psytrance, dubstep, drum n bass, etc. I'm normally not much of a dancer but I went absolutely crazy, I dunno if it was the atmosphere, the 2C-E or both. There were definitely a lot of people on MDMA, so many people wide eyed and gurning, dancing like crazy, and then pretty much paralysed whenever the lights flashed - was going to ask someone for some but I didn't want to as I was having really bad vasoconstriction from the 2C-E, and I knew I'd dose the MDMA that day - didn't want to make it worse.

At one point I saw some people passing a joint, they didn't seem friendly or willing to share but I asked anyway, and offered them 2C-E, they declined and walked off, saying it was "Unlucky" that I hadn't smoked in 5 months - I think they were the unlucky ones though when they saw Chemical Brothers perform 30 minutes later, knowing they could have watched them while tripping. Haha.

But yeah, all in all, fucking super night.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys!!!!! I only ended up taking a guarter hit of shiva as I gave the other half away to this girl who had not tripped in a long time... I was not where I would have liked to have been as far as the lsd but I decided to eat 100mg molly later that night which went very well with my low dose of lsd. I really wanted to smoke my deemsters too, but I decided to leave it at my friends house last minute and forgot to pick it back up before coming home Its a shame too because I was really feeling it last night and it would have been my first lsd+dmt combo.... Oh well guess it wasnt meant to be.... But just got done smoking a nice bowl and am now enjoying this wonderful afterglow

I'm curious to see how this goes, writer. Please, at some point, take the time to lie down in a comfy position with some music playing in the dark and/or with your eyes closed. Also, adjust the tightness with which you close your eyes, on occasion, because it makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the Carbon Based Lifeforms video. Here is what I wrote in 2005 about being in that place (Angkor) - sorry no photos:

Outside of most temples there is a group of 3-6 musicians sitting on a mat playing traditional music. All these musicians are disabled in some way, many from landmines - no legs, blind, arm gone - playing this haunting true trance music.

I watched the same kinds of groups at weddings and ceremonies in the U.S. over the years. The way it works is they come into the place where they'll play, sit on a mat with their instruments, light incense, offer (to the muse?) cigarettes and whiskey, and begin to tune. So we're slow-walking through 1000 year old temples, monastaries, funerary structures, and the like, going deeper and deeper until the sounds of the Japanese and Korean tourists are gone and there are only the sounds of the forest and our own occasional conversations. It's hot here, but not bad in the shade and we're slow-walking for sure through series of doorways through the centers of the structures, through narrow dark corridors, across jumbled piles of large sandstone blocks at the edges, and along dirt paths through the forest outside.
