The thing is, when it comes to God, you can
only find God yourself, you can not be shown
evidence by someone else. God is within, the
without is simply result of causal energy, and
in now way provides the connection one needs
to communicate with God.

the potential existance of God in some fashion,

Perhaps the writer(s) of the bible do not put a line that states the bible is truth, but the church makes it that way, and the people involved in the religion mostly do that aswell, so basically that comes to the same point.
But you do make a point there: They dont claim that.
So, why do you still believe in it?
What is different between the bible and harry potter?
Is it because the bible is 2000 year old and it's origin cant be tracked and harry potter is a recent work and therefor known to be made-up?
Doesnt alter the fact that the bible can very well be entirely made up.
