shooting people in some states is justified and some states it is not.

in california you can busted for it. for example some cop used this example on a website.

he said that if a guy is walking out your front door holding a heavy tv and his back is facing you and you shoot him, then he was obviously not a threat and your murder of him is wrong.

so basically you can only shoot someone if the situation can be proven to be threatening. legally though you can shoot someone and not kill them. but then again I heard they can sue you or something. which I think is BULLCRAP.

Rugor, again, all depends.... Move to texas.

Legal or not, shooting someone because they pulled into your drive way is beyond fucked up. What if they pulled in to warn you about the guy they saw breaking into their side window, what the fuck THEN? :p

However, if I saw someone driving off in my car and had a gun, I'd shoot my own tires out, and run up on them. I've NEVER heard of a car coming back in even acceptable shape from being stolen, from destroyed transmissions to piss... the beer and piss seem to be a constant accross them all....

I think in a lot of states, OP would be justified to use NON-lethal (or "less-lethal", not INTENDED to kill) ammunition to protect their property from vandals or thieves. Or maybe you could insulate the panels from the rest of the car, and chain them in an electrical loop around the car, and set it up like you would an electric fence? :p

Just make damn sure you turn it off before trying to get in... but that would beat the hell out of a car alarm.
