I'm proud of the fact that I walked downtown today to the parade instead of driving. About a mile and a half each way.
Finished taking my pictures and took my time with lighting and the tripod and all that ohter crap. Ate really healthy and clean today. Cleaned the house and put all my craft stuff strewn throughout the house in my sewing room. I was honest with my husband that I think we need to cut down on our spending. This is a hard one for me because he makes 90 percent of the money, so I often feel like I have no right to tell him not to spend it or tell him to transfer left over money into savings, especially when he just wants to spend it on me or things for us to do together.
That's awesome. I live about half a mile from the place I work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also say I am going to walk, but never do.
According to this source, pride means this: 1. A sense of one's own proper dignity or value; self-respect. 2. Pleasure or satisfaction taken in an achievement, possession, or association: parental pride. 3. Arrogant or disdainful conduct or treatment; haughtiness. 4. A cause or source of pleasure or satisfaction; the best of a group or class: - These soldiers were their country's pride. - The most successful or thriving condition; prime: the pride of youth. 5. An excessively high opinion of oneself; conceit. 6. Mettle or spirit in horses. 7. A company of lions. See synonyms at flock1. 8. A flamboyant or impressive group: a pride of acrobats. I mean pride as in the first two. I don't understand how it could hurt to have self respect, or feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in completing or doing something I'm SO proud of you!!! lode that was such an honest answer! Thank you so much :cheers2: That's such a good thing! Try to be proud like that tomorrow, too. This has been one of my favourite replies I think it's fantastic that you were able to talk to your husband about such a touchy topic. BTW, Keep on keeping on, people! Y'all have something to be proud about.
That I went out for a run, did an ok time.Tidied my office. Then sat down with friends, completely switched off watching TV And didn't get mad that a team supported by absolute xxxxs won the league.( by matchfixing..)
I'm proud of the fact that I completed every little task i had set for myself today and it's only 6.20pm. After starting to think about the working class education difficulties, I'm also proud of the fact that today, for 6 hours, I, a council estate labourer's son from a broken home, was teaching 30 judges from 10 different provincial courts. I think I might treat myself to a nice cold one.
Don't say that. If lack of inspiration or creativity fails, you could always say "I got out of bed" "I didn't fall over in the shower" "I made you lol" "I drank a glass of water" "I smiled at ____ today" There's always something!
I went for a walk! 2 of 'em! Runnings great. When you've finished it's like the best feeling, emotionally and physically... Doesn't do much to stop me hating it though! I think you definately deserve it
:cheers2: Here in Western Australia they voted for Daylight Savings. I couldn't vote because I'm a resident (NZ Citz) I would have voted yes. 55% voted no I don't think I could've made up 10% anyway... But it's a nice thought
