Uh...Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the federal government has a whole lot of say in how local governments run their Social Services. And you do realize that it is extremely difficult to find undiniable proof that parents are being abusive since they'll just put on a happy face when the authorities come.

Oh that's a great attitude. Technically, if citizens are unhappy with the laws, they can write to their congressmen (the LEGISLATIVE branch; Presidents don't make laws, dear, they just recommend them) and tell them why they're unhappy. What? Is your husband really going to invite 300 million people to write to him and then promise to respond to everything?

Good luck getting THAT through congress!

So that'll make him, what? A couple thousand dollars?? It takes MILLIONS to run a campaign...MILLIONS. You're SOL if you have less than $50 million by today's standards.

Uh...**cough, cough** YES!!!! Are you actually surprised that I want an educated president? He studied law in his spare time? Oh, that's re-assuring. Let me ask you this: If you needed surgery, and your doctor never went to med-school, but studied medicine in his "spare time," would you let him put a knife to your stomach? My point exactly.
