joker im WAY ahead of you with frankenstein drag queens, and even more ahead of you with goon moon apple pie IS their best song, i listen to it once a day for the past few years stripper or not, bitch is talented, that show you and i attended was amazing
:2thumbsup: i like the doors and i REALLY like dark side of the moon and a few other pink floyd songs. i can do without grateful dead. if i wrote out a list though it wouldn't include doors or floyd. PINBACK, built to spill, silversun pickups, spoon, the strokes, interpol, soul coughing, the sea and cake, phoenix, the whitest boy alive, minus the bear, 311, sublime, rage against the machine, jimmie's chicken shack
^^^i don't listen to the much. a buddy of mine loves them, and doesn't trip really (he has maybe 3 times). well one of those times on mushrooms we went in his room with all the lights off and laid on the floor listening to sigur ros (then soul coughing) for quite some time. and you can see in my sig, i saw minus the bear this summer which was SAHWEET and i saw silversun pickups a few octobers ago. tripping there was intense with the unexpected mosh pitting. when i hear their music i don't picture moshing. when i'm on 2 hits of L, i definitely don't picture moshing
meh, no one hears music exactly the same. can't say I'm crazy about any of those bands. I'm a youngster and was influenced by different people.
Not a fan of Floyd or The Doors for the most part, my first reaction is to turn it off or leave whenever I hear either playing. The Grateful Dead have some catchy tunes that I can dig, but for the most part I too find their music boring. Phish though, damn do those guys know how to get a crowd going, sooooooo much jazzy energy. I love me some String Cheese Incident as well. Yonder Mountain String Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, Pretty Lights, Girl Talk, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Electric President, Mum, Band of Bees, Tame Impala, Mt. Eden Dubstep, Portugal The Man, RATM, Modest Mouse, Hot Buttered Rum String Band, Telefon Tel Aviv, All-Time Quarterback, Boards of Canada, Camera Obscura, deadmau5, Explosions in the Sky, The Flaming Lips, Incubus, and a LOT of rappers. Rap/Hip-hop wins for me though, there are just so many rappers I enjoy listening to. The ones that stick out the most are CYNE, A Tribe Called Quest, Blu, Murs, Eyedea, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Nas, MF Doom, Curren$y, Cory Gunz, and of course Bone Thugs n Harmony.
i forgot to put modest mouse on my list i knew you were gonna say boards of canada and explosions in the sky (hey they just started palying on my pandora). have you listened to el ten eleven yet? you should. bone thugs n harmony are awesome. east 1999 is at least. i heard a new song of theirs that sucked.
Wow, fantastic recommendation. This is the perfect music to complement my high right now. Yeah I haven't bothered to check out any new Bone Thugs. Art of War, East 1999, and Thug World Order were all fantastic imo. Budsmokers Only has most of their weed songs, and then if you add The Collection Volumes 1 and 2 to the mix you have just about every Bone Thugs song I like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxh-NH2q0d0"]YouTube - Guess Who's Back - Bone Thugs~N~Harmony Probably my favorite Bone Thugs song, first time I heard it was the first time I was heavily opiated, needless to say it stuck
