Kids get on my nerves too... but I don't hate them. I joke around about it... but you'll never really know the true meaning of love until you have a kid. I think that J.I. is just still a young kid herself that's all.
Yea I know Jess Im just trying to have her look inside of herself, you know, reflect on her person, so she can say WHY she says the things that she says.
is there some kind of unwritten law that says she HAS to like children? Because as far as I can see, there are millions who have chosen against having kids... and kids don't seem to play a big part in their lives
No, in fact there is no law that says anything like that. But considering that when asked, she can give no basis for her dislike, I simply asked her questions so that she might look inside and find a reason.
life would be far to logical if every action and reaction had to have a reason.... and usually any reason only comes from experience there are a billion orphans in the world that could tell you that
I don't like children ethier and whats even better is the fact thats there isn't any danger that I'll ever have them S
haha so my suggestion that she might provide a reason for her statement that she hates children warrants the perception of logical reality being brought into question? Nobody said she HAD to give a reason, and no one told her she HAD to like children. I find a generalized statement like such to be not only rude, but ignorant. If I hated children, and didnt want my view to be brought into questioning, I would keep my mouth shut instead of exposing it publicaly. Having no experience is all the more reason to keep one's opinion to themself. Maybe she could have said "I cant stand children who are bratty and spoiled and never stop talking..." something along those lines. But to openly say I hate children, is most definitley going to bring about another person's confusion as to WHY.
Are you, GAY OR SOMETHING SAM?!?!?! haha (btw, did you happen to check out my short story in the writers group? Oh wait, maybe I didnt post it in the right forum  )
and i find your attitude to her to be arrogant, presumtious (which she proved your prejudice wrong, thankfully), judmental and.. above all, ignorant like i said... experience....
Right, and your post about wether or not there was a law justifying the hatred of children was any more compassionate.
Yes I'm gay and No I didn't read your story, but I'm happy to read it if you link me. and do you two want to agree to differ over this, because your filling this thread up with your argueing S
Sam, I know your gay my friend, it was a joke. A bad one though, of this Im quite sure And your right, I wasnt planning on keeping this argument alive anyway, my behaviour is surely very childish
