I recently finished up a four year enlistment with the military, an establishment hell bent on condemning drug use of any type. a friend of mine spent 30 days in a military brig (jail) for just failing a drug test (marijuana!)--- that was all he did, NO possession, NO driving while INtoxicated, just failed a Urine test. All that happens in an environment like this is through the roof Alcoholism (which we've been programmed to NOT consider a drug @ all for some reason!) I prefer smoking for the obvious reasons, you smoke, you feel the effect and you wake up and go to work the next day without feeling the effects of the night before and its much easier to utilize self control. I would say Honestly (and god is my witness) If alcohol was considered a DRUG in everday society, drug addicts would comprise at very LEAST, 33.3% of the military force... i've been there trust me... and random urine tests are quite a contradiction to the 4th amendment i might add... what a country we've become (USA) keep blazin' and blaze some for the folks who wish they could, but can't... cause they'll go to jail for failing a urine test... thanks!
Smoking is just soooo much easier and quicker than drinking, and personally I like the effects better. When I smoke, I tend to get really happy and giddy, however when I drink, it tends to simply amplify whatever it is that I'm feeling at the time anyway, whether it be good or bad.
Weed is good, alchol is bad. That's the way I see it. I've never been totally drunk, but I love getting stoned off my ass .
Both are nice... Alcohol's better for me when I'm in a partying, wild, excited mood, and pot's better for me when I'm in a calm, mellow, thoughtful mood. It really depends on my mood. I don't have a favorite.
Back when i was unable to buy alcohol i would vote for pot. I was a total pot head. Now, in the present, I drink. I actually enjoy drinking. No, I am not an alcoholic or drunk. But, i do like to get a buzz going on. I dont smoke pot anymore for job related reasons. Or, I probably would if I didnt have to worry about such things. I can say that my brain function has been better when it comes to being able to think clearly and fast. I have become a Witty smart ass and i enjoy it. I love weed, LOVE IT! But booz is my past time activity.
My favorite is drinking 3-4 beers (belgian ones, 5+ %) and then smoke a joint... This mix and I can party 4 hours and enjoy every moment... and during those hours, I drink a beer every hour or so to keep me on the same level... sometimes it results in puking all over, but most of the time it is great.
i'm a dedicated weed smoker. i used to drink but it did NOTHING for me that was of any true value. A shroom trip showed me the dangers of alcohol & what a poison it actually was. i no longer touch alcohol. weed has spiritual values as well as medicinal ones. i vote for weed. when i was a pre-teen i remember my dad giving me the "peer pressure" speech. (this was before i had tried either) he said that if i had a choice in the future at some party etc, he would prefer i chose weed over booz --i thought he was nutts!!! telling me to do drugs???? his response was "in my life i have known plenty of women that spread their legs because of a few drinks, but i never met one that put-out because of a few joints" i didn't get it then, but sure as hell did later on in life from personal experience. weed is all i need or want.
I just like the feeling of drinking better usually. I feel like I can do anything and I'm energized. It's fun. But so is weed...just different. I say why not them both at the same time!
If i had to choose, id rather smoke. i hate the taste of alcohol and the effects, and the hangover. the only good part about drinking is the people your with and the first 45 minutes. but pot takes the win
I actually prefer to drink but its easier to smoke on a daily basis than it is to drink. Overall when I get drunk I have more fun then when I'm stoned. When I'm buzzed I can be more social than when I'm high. I also know how to cure hangovers so it's no big deal.
I don't drink alcohol at all. I don't like what it does to people. They get obnoxious and lose control of themselves. Not fun. Marijuana is a gift of the earth that should be free for everyone to partake.
i prefer smoking cause its not as harmful but i still drink sometimes at partys. Once in a while its great to smoke and drink in the same night = )
weed is safer, funner and overall better health wise long term and short term. Look at a heavy smoker (weed or tobbaco) vs a heavy drinker after they've been at it for like 20+ years....However the best is mixing the two together =P J.C
Again posting here. Drinking takes the cake but every time I get drunk with friends I really crave a joint, and it's always a nice way to end the night.
