Waking life... damn, im definately watching that one again tomorrow... not stupid and funny, but really deep and philisophical... Can't forget the Jay and Silent Bob movies.
lol, yeah Jay and Silent Bob - the 3rd generation Cheech and Chong. You should also try watching game cutscenes while (some games let you play em all like a movie) it actually makes more sense than normal. "Getting high turns ur everyday abstract picasso life into something so rounded and so perfect, that to be rational is the only illogical solution to lifes problems!!"
Also, watch a really emotional movie when you're ripped out of your mind. I watched the notebook (I like had to go, so I made the best of it and chiefed hella on the way) and it was super good because the buzz amplifies all your emotions a lot.
There is a really good movie that noone knows about called "Scrapple." Its really good and if you can find it, watch it. Its really mellow and up beat (sorta). Its a must see. Other then that, Jackie Brown has some good scenes in it.
I personally found The Butterfly Effect to be morbid and disturbing... it's not a film I would see again. That's just how I feel, sorry. The beginning of Full Metal Jacket is hilarious. If you have Jimi Hendrix's full Woodstock set, that's one hell of a show to watch. Echoes (by Pink Floyd) synchronized with the near end of "2001: A Space Odyssey" is totally trippy and beautiful. Start Echoes at the same time you see the text "Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite," depending on what format you're watching, if you can't find a synchronization to download. peace
ya know the usuals...(not in specific order) Dazed and Confused Any Cheech n Chong Fear and Loathing Reefer Madness (Original-HILARIOUS) Return to Oz Oz and last but DEF not least Alice in Wonderland ...there are more, but those are faves
for all you waking life fans, i highly recommend watching, what teh bleep do we know. dont get too stoned though and be prepared with your thinking cap strapped on.
2001: A Space Odyssey. I don't think there is one time when I have gotten high by myself that I haven't watched atleast a part of, if not the whole movie. If you want to watch the whole thing be prepared to smoke a lot and smoke during Intermission which plays in the movie. Then just sit and remember, mostly everything in that movie has a meaning. The pin floating in the space ship. The bone spinning, then shows the space ship. HAL 9000. Dave facing the older version of himself. Dave saying "Open the Pod bays doors HAL". If you have already seen the movie, and ONLY if you have seen the movie, if you haven't seen 2001 watch it high like I said, and then then go here, http://www.kubrick2001.com/2001.html A lot of these things I had already figured out, but there were a lot of things in this little film I did not know. Also, There is a way to play Pink Floyd's "Echoes" to the back ground of the last part in 2001 "Jupiter and beyond the infinite". First get the song, then get the movie and you know the "Bing" that is the first part of the song? Well make sure right when "Jupiter and beyond the infinite" pops up that that bing makes the noise. It takes a few tries, but it is totally worth it. Also one I always watch is "Apocalypse Now". WoW.
I love Waking Life, dont know if I'ld have the patience for it when I'm stoned though. Thank you, so much, for reminding me about What the Bleep. I heard about it way back and wanted to see it, but then forgot all about it. Just checked show times and I hope to go on friday! Would it be better to go stoned or sober?
I think scrapple was a good movie ive seen it a few times. theres this video called "festival express" its a newer release but it was filmed in the late seventies if i remember correctly it had lots of bands in it like the dead and janis and a bunch of others. has any one seen a movie called green goddess or something like that? I heard its cool but i havent found it yet.
